Man, that's a deep cut inside joke for them to put on the poster. Nice!

That was actually a nice read and helps making me invested in the tournament participants. McGrath comes across as a well spoken guy and I can only imagine being overwhelmed by the vast cultural differences for a Westerner living in Japan.
About the language thing, I have mixed feelings about it. From one perspective, the Japanese are already strongly represented in the tournaments - by design, but still - and the last thing they want is another quasi-Japanese 'posing' as an American, even if having McGrath hide his Japanese ties ironically drives that point home even further.
On the other hand, look at a guy like Pettas. He was the only foreign participant in one of the All-Japanese K-1 Qualifier tournaments and being fluent in the language (on top of being a Karate-ka) while open about his ties actually helped him becoming a fan favorite amongst the Japanese, or at least that's how it always came across to me. I'm not sure how K-1 initially handled him, but I can recall him speaking Japanese at pressers.

I thought everything at K-1 pressers was real and spontaneous

Nadrov is out again, so instead of Goshu getting obliterated he's fighting Suarek, and the announcement image looks like a direct to dvd sequel to Looper

Update: Boubaker El Bakouri from Siam Gym is replacing Masinissa Hamaili against Uehara. Apparently Hamaili had to drop out due to visa issues: www.k-1.co.jp/news/28538/From what little I've seen of Hamaili he looked pretty solid, but I've seen Boubaker and his twin brother Khalid fight live at A1 WCC events a couple of times and they are both solid, up and coming fighters. El Bakouri has been fighting at more or less the same events as Ibrahim El Bouni, who has already made a name for himself at K-1 Japan. Dutch fightnews sites are already reporting about it: www.vechtsportinfo.nl/nieuws/boubaker-el-bakouri-maakt-debuut-in-k1-world-grand-prix-toernooi-japan/Interesting to note is that El Bakouri is scheduled to fight at Enfusion just two weeks later, on November 17th against Martin Reeijmeyer.
