Would be amazing if he could turn around his career like Cro Cop did, but that seems indeed highly unlikely. But yeah, I'm rooting hard for Fedor in this one. It's bad enough he has a L against Mitrione in his record, but against Sonnen? Please no....

it was an entartaining fight and it played out more or less as it was expected. Chael got dropped multiple times on the feet and looked like he was about to die at any moment in the stand up. He also was one second away to get stopped on the ground and fedor blocked all of his takedowns with ease and even reversed and throw him a few times like a doll. All this in the first 3 minutes. Than after that fedor kind of started to gas, getting slow and sloppy and missing shots. Chael got closer to him and managed to get more dangerous, even landing like 3 shots on him in the stand up and getting 2 or so takedowns. Anyway it still looked like, probably, chael will get caught with something either on the ground or on the feet even by that gassed fedor. Both of them were very shot though and bader will have an easy payday for the final. If I was fedor I would just pull out the fight and retire on this 2-fight winning streak.

I actually watched and liked the fight.
Fedor looked good physically and was completely dominating Sonnen early on and looked like he could finish it whenever he wanted. Unfortunately after 2-3 minutes he gassed which resulted in 2 unnecessary takedowns from Chael. Chael screwed himself out of the first advantageous position by doing a roll that moved only himself. The second takedown had Fedor pull a nice reversal to land top position and finish things off.
Would be great if Fedor could somehow pull off a win against Bader, but it probably isn't the most likely result.
Fedor would have to land something big early on.

yeah, it looked like fedor was playing with him. He could have finished him just by going for the GNP on those multiple occasions, as chael has terrible defence and heart against GNP but he refused and let chael get back on the feet... until the last one when it was more about chael gassing out himself and turtling so the ref would stop the fight.

39 seconds more and Sonnen would have a win over the Spider.
Fedor didn't gave a shit about that and didn't give any opportunity to Sonnen.
Now is clear who the GOAT is. (After Sakuraba)
