Is this really going to happen? It seems official already. Anthony Smith might be a huge underdog in this fight, but that's what it makes it even more interesting. Corey Anderson might be just as good, but Smith is a different kind of animal. He will go gor the KO, he will go for the finish, as he did in all of his fights. A lot of people count him out already, the usual dumbfucks, who simply won't learn that a fight is a fight. Smith is a warrior and he will bring the heat.

Smith is fun to watch, but he doesn't really stand a real chance against jones. I mean volkan took him down and dominated him on the ground and was winning the fight. Jones will beat him with no problems everywhere the fight goes. I expect him to take smith down and finish him in the first. Anyway, there isn't really anyone else out there to give a title shot, so i have no problem with smith getting the shot, despite giving him around 2% to win this fight. Normally ufc should make Jones fight at HW. There are many interesting matchups for him at hw.

Look, I even said it right away in the OP: "Smith might be a huge underdog". That's my opinion as well. That means that I don't actually think that he will be the one to beat Jones and if the odds for that fight were even, I surely wouldn't bet on him. So it is perfectly reasonable to state why you think he's going to lose and I might even agree.
I call these people idiots, who COMPLETELY rule Smith out and don't give him a chance at all, as we haven't seen so many huge upsets in the recent past that nobody predicted either. My point is that this is still the fight to make as Smith is someone who brings it, who is dangerous and who will go for the kill. If that fight really happens, I also would be astounded that the UFC for once gives the right guy the title shot even though that wouldn't be the biggest money fight possibly.
I might add that I like Smith since his Bellator days and I'm glad and happy to see how his UFC run turned out so far. Guy seems really nice, too.

What I found dumber than anything is how, when there is a Israel vs Daren till thread", half of the posters say that the fight is either 50-50 or till beats israel LOL. I mean till was an amatuer kickboxer, not even a pro, it's a WW, 6'0, slow, has only a straight left and probably even in grappling is inferior to israel. Meanwhile israel is 6'3, has 6 inches reach advantage, is a MW, much faster, much more technical and was arguably the best MW kickboxer on the planet when he made the transition to mma (beat yousri belgaroui twice, smoked bogdan stoica in less than 2 rounds, beat Filip Verlinden, got robbed in the title fight against jeson wilnis and was humiliating and destroying Pereira until he got caught in the third.)
Till won't even touch israel.
