I like Karimian, but this was an awesome knockout and very welcome in an event that has seen mostly decisions.

Gomez was used as mostly a sacrificial lamb in Glory.
While K-1 is also putting him against one of their top guys in Kido, this does seem like a more fair matchup.

I think the theme of these fights is Japan vs. the World.
It's a very common theme, but it does remind me of old K-1 events which is a cool nod.
