With all due respect, but if aerts take this fight seriously, Hoost won't last 2 minutes. After all, we are talking about the guy who should have had taken the decision win against Rico verhoven 10 months ago. If the fight is for real, Hoost has made a huge mistake to take this fight.
Bob sapp vs Hoost III would have been crazy and perfect.

As much as I love Aerts, he did not deserve the victory against Verhoeven.
I do like his chances against 49 year old Hoost though. I think Hoost wanted this fight himself and he's not the type to have no idea what he's getting himself into. If there would have been any honor in fighting current day Sapp I would have liked to see Hoost finally get that victory to redeem himself, but it is what it is.
I'm interested in this event for what it is; an event for veterans and in honor of two legends of K-1 and kickboxing; Aerts and Hoost.

Surely this will be akin to the light spar of Amsterdam 2006 when K-1 plucked Aerts from the front row and he subbed for Sapp?

Well, now they both have time to train properly, so I hope they will make it more than just an exhibition match.
Sakmongkol is a nice bonus to this event. I just read on his wiki that he defeated Cosmo Alexandre just 3 years ago??
I'd call that pretty impressive. Interesting to see what he's got left at 41. maybe not that old if you look at some k-1 veterans, but for a Thai fighter...

This might get very good. Would be epic if Aerts vs. Hoost turns out to be a great fight.

When they met laast time Peter was just back from a months holliday, 13kilos overweight and was asked to fill in for coward Bob Sapp. He could have knocked Hoost out 3 times but didn't because it was his last fight! Respect Peter

I will have to rewatch the fight but I don't really remember that he could have knocked out Hoost. It is more likely Hoost took it easy because he actually was the one who had trained to fight wasn't overweight, drinking and eating at the event, and so on.
