Some tidbits - I haven't seen the undercard, but apparently it was pretty good.
- Mike wasn't cornering his fighters (George, Kyshenko, Bulaid), but he's probably still livin' it up in Dubai.
- Bulaid looked very impressive in a very entertaining fight with Kobylanski. In the post fight interview Bulaid mentioned he was happy he didn't get injured since he's fighting in the K-1 65KG Japan Tournament in two weeks. I didn't realize he was in this, but after having seen him perform I'm excited to see him in the K-1 event. Kid's only 19 yrs old.
- Kyshenko fought at I believe 77kgs and looked like the Terminator.
- Laschcenko showed up fat at 126kgs, BUT he fought very well. He fought a technical bout against a tough looking Turinksy who gave Zhuravlev a tough fight at the last LEGEND event. Funnily, Zhuravlev was cornering Laschcenko. Sergei actually blocked and threw a high amount of lowkicks, when's the last time that ever happened? Against Szczepkowski he scored an early down that was ruled a groinshot and Kyshenko who was cornering Sergei as well started complaining from the sidelines. Fight continued and after a few more body shots Szczepkowski signed that he gave up, giving Laschcenko a very quick victory in the finals. In the post fight interview Sergei said he wants to cut back to 110kgs again in 2015. I hope he can do it. He's a fun fighter and still young.
All in all this event was very entertaining and had good production. Good job of them getting a Live deal with EuroSport. compared to yesterday's absolute garbage event that GFC4 turned out to be, this event looked like pure gold.
