I mean, the result isn't very surprising when you think about it;
Askren is outsized, not known for his striking, much older and retired for a while.
But getting laid out in the first round like that...
If you told me Paul just knocked out a former professional chess player I would have bought it.
Askren just collected a paycheck, not caring about the result. He has no pride.
That's not the part that annoys me, though.
I don't like how people will now use this to give Paul some sort of undeserved legitimacy;
'See, he just knocked out a UFC big shot!'
Professional fighters (usually) have to go through a lot to get where they are.
They have to work hard to create opportunities for themselves.
A YouTube clown who out of nowhere just gets to do this is a big middle finger to everybody busting their ass to make it.

As much as I dislike Mayweather as a person and for giving these clowns an even larger platform, someone has to put them in their place.
Just hoping for a few things here:
- Mayweather fucks up the Paul brothers beyond recognition (yes, he's fighting both now).
- The PPVs do badly. They won't, but there's always hope.
This brawl might've been staged for all we know, but I was legitimately hoping for someone to get KTFO'd.

I really hope so.
While it would be hilarious if Mayweather lost his perfect record to a YouTuber, I think the Pauls need to be made an example of.

The chances are extremely small that logan wins also partially because there is no way they are going to give logan the decision if he somehow out points floyd by using the jab and then clinching immediately when floyd gets close. Anyway, let's not forget that floyd is 44 year old, 155 lbs, 5'8 and fights a 26 year old,6'2, 210 lbs that has one thing going for him, which is the jab and being half decent fighting at range... which is what floyd doesn't like ... rangy fighters. Still even like this, and even if the referees and the judges were fair, paul will still have in my opinion only 5% chance of winning this fight and that's mostly comes from a lucky punch ko or an injury.

Mayweather was not able to knock Paul out which, unfortunately, is a moral victory for Paul.
I didn't watch the fight, but I saw some clips and in one of them it looked like Paul was about to go down only to be held up by Mayweather.
