Nectar, what is your opinion about Raul Cătinaș? You have many resounding victories on your resume and you fought against big names like Bouzidi, Gerges, Saki, Schilt, Ghiță or Wilnis. In 2011 you were an Ultimate Glory finalist (the former Glory) and you lost to Saki by decision. In 2012 in Moscow you also lost via decision against Schilt, being later knocked out by this best heavyweight of all time at the fourth show of the new Glory (Tokyo Grand Slam). So 2012, Schilt and Ghiță, where does Cătinaș stand? You didn't get also the desired result against Cătinaș in 2014 in Romania, with Mannart and Le Banner in your corner. Honestly! I really think Cătinaș wasn't really in his prime until van Den Bos. In what shape were you at the Super Kombat match? Unfortunately, he left me with the impression that he demolished his opponents starting with van den Bos. Minus the last one, Trallero, when he was already inactive according to him (because of sponsorship reasons).
Your career is impressive, later I will ask you about savate. Feel free to respond, but only if you want! It's not an interrogation, we just have curiosities.
Considering that the Romanian Tyson also signed with Glory, maybe others are also interested in your opinion. If Raoul would be in his shape from 2013-2015, should we be excited before the promotion debut?
For me at the moment Verhoeven and Adegbuyi are the best heavyweights in the world, and Badr Hari is also part of the elite. I don't know how to characterise Ben Saddik yet, I still don't trust him and honestly he's not like Ghiță was before. I also sincerely believe that Wilnis did not say his last word. Overall I think many can be beaten.

Hi Kickboxer, Thanks for the questions, i'm glad to answer it To be honnest, my fight against Catinas was one of the worst to me. I was new father (since 3 month) and i didn't prepared well. Just want to have time wuth my daughter and so, i didn't move to Amsterdam to prepared this fight. I was almost out of shape, BUT the worst was i just DON'T want to be on the ring that day... So, if you put this together, it was an easy fight to Raul ! He just was better than me this day. He was a hard puncher for sure, but not as fast as Saki. And like all the "small" heavyweight, it's more easy to touch him than a guy like Schilt or even Ghita. To me Ghita in his prime was better (or more difficult to fight) to Raul. Still Catinas was on the elite fore sure! Like you, i'm waiting his come back and i wonder if he is still so powerfull, tought I think, if he still perfomed well, he can be a top 5 BUT i don't see him win againt tall and heavy guys like Rico, Benny or Jamal.. We will see

Hi again, thanks a lot for your answers! So do you rate him that high (big)? I do agree height is very important. That's why Tyson lost to Buster Douglas, and Douglas wasn't even extremely tall. Not for another reason. I feel Cătinaș can be a bad matchup for Ben Saddik, or Ben Saddik can be a bad matchup for him. Probably tall Rico and Benny know how to deal with him. But in this category if you manage to punch, you can put your opponent on the ground first. Raoul also hits brutally and knows how to hit. Did you ask Jerome if Cătinaș really hits harder than him like Harinck said?
I think power is overvalued. In my opinion the hardest hitters are Ben Saddik especially, and Daniel Ghita. They hit much harder than Badr Hari, but Badr really disappointed me in the last event. I overstimated him, Adegbuyi hits harder than him for sure. In the last years of kickboxing, also Londt, Zimmerman and others were hard hitters. Catinas...

Now what did you say here? For us it's harder to be French speakers.
Waiting to see Brice against Ernesto!

As for Brice, I got some questions that are actually about you How are you preparing for Hoost and how is it different compared to preparations you have done for other fights. Anything special/different? Are you stepping into this fight looking for a KO or is there - considering the age gap - a sort of gentleman's agreement that both of you will hold back a bit of power? Again, only answer when/if you're interested. I can totally understand if you just visit to read some of news & updates

Hi K1 power. I'm glad to answer, don't worry ! I just start training for the fight against Ernesto. I didn't have real prepation since my last fight in 2017 (they called me 3 weeks before my fight against Samedov so it was not a real preparation). I sparr sometimes with my student, but mostly for fun... It's going to be different on the time i spend to train myself! When i was on my pic, i trained 4 to 6hours by day... Now i spend about 60 hours:weeks in my gym. Busy with coaching, class training, cleaning.... so i ll have max an hour by day to train myself. I'm going to take a week off to go to Mejiro and train over there, speak with Andre about Ernesto, sparr with Roel... it's gonne be fun ! I'm not looking for a KO, i'm just lokking to make a verry nice and entertaining fight against Mr Perfect. No agreements, if he is a great shape, we are going to make a war ! BUT if i see that Ernesto is "out of shape" (but i really don't think so), i'm not going to knoxk him out ! Too much repect to do that ! But who knows, maybe HE is going to humiliated me! lol Osu

Thanks Brice, I'm expecting a good fight from both of you and a great, nostalgic event. Are there any plans beyond your fight with Ernesto? Let's say this fight goes very well, would you consider doing more fights or is it just a one time deal for you?

Hi Guys, No, it's just a one shot! 😂 I manage to train 1 hour/day but it's really difficult 😂 I have a gym to run, a family to take care and sadly no T enough time to (Re)becoming a war machine. If I want to fight again, i need 3 to 5 hours by day, just impossible in my actual life... Or I'm going to play lottery ))
