he would be cooler if he changed his last name to Bullet. Or just his nickname. I can hear Bruce Buffer yelling it in my head clear as day....Guerric...THE BULLET...BILLEEEEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTTTT

I thought Rigters would fight for a bigger name. In fact, Levi is ready.

They better put Mahieddine on this card as well. Wonder if they're gonna have any more fights on the card. Adding more fights than they already have only really adds to their costs. An undercard fight or two to have something free on youtube maybe but other than that...

Yeah that's what annoys me; I do like this card, but I feel we're close to having a full card and I'm missing some fighters.
The favoritism is so blatant they're not even making an effort to hide it.
They should at least give the guys they screwed over another chance.

Beztati fights Gashi for the title, and there are 7-8 better Romanian lightweights better than Gashi outside Glory (Paraschiv, Caliniuc, Bozan, Orza, Petrisor, Ostrovanu, not even counting the improved Craciunica, Popa, Lapusneanu who is too heavy for the featherweight now and Pattvean who got fat in the UK). www.vechtsportinfo.nl/nieuws/kickboks-muay-thai-nieuws/tyjani-beztati-keert-treft-elvis-gashi-op-glory-78/Maybe the new matchmaking is worse. Who did Glory sign? They said they will honour the contracts, but somebody can be signed for the Lightweight. And in the Heavyweight division, they have Ballis. And where is Gafencu? And why not Kryklia? I can't wait to see Beztati fighting Gashi, and then Spong and Saki. Beztati is talented but they are pushing him all the way instead of signing new lightweights. I don't forget he lost to Koprivlenski. Sign new faces and we wanted eliminatory fights, not straight a champion. Another Dutch-based, they are desperate to make him champion figthing poor Gashi...

Gashi has only 1 loss on his record and it's a 5th round KO against Marat Grigorian.
He has a couple of solid victories over Jauncey and Goldie-Galloway.
Out of the fighters you list Paraschiv is probably the best one. His biggest wins are over Ngimbi and El-Mir, but he's also taken losses against guys I would have expected him to beat. (Have you seen his fight against Akam Tarageh? That was one of the worst fights I've seen in quite a while.)
That makes him at least a little inconsistent and I wouldn't per definition say he's above Gashi. He's definitely more experienced though. I'd say it's probably 50-50.
Before Gashi fought Jauncey he didn't look too hot to me, but my opinion of him definitely improved and he has gotten a lot better in the last few years.
With Marat off to One it makes more sense for Glory to match up two of their higher ranked guys for the vacated title, rather than hiring some random outside (Romanian) fighter barely anybody knows.
Either way I like the Beztati vs. Gashi, but this also probably means the card is finalized. Perhaps we get one or two undercard fights, but I'm not holding my breath for anymore big matchups.

The best division in Romania now is the Lightweight... And logically if we gave Ghita, Adegbuyi, Catinas, Iftimoaie and Morosanu, not counting the Light Heavies or the past Heavyweights, you will hear about them too!
You are certainly not very aware of the Romanian scene now and 50% of the Paraschiv losses are actually robberies. The Iranian German refused to fight and the referee was corrupt. If you take a look at Orza and Caliniuc now, I say in some years they will beat any fighter from Holland or 95%. Not to mention Bozan especially and also Petrisor and Ostrovanu are worth as well. They are all Glory material.
I mean what to hire if not new and less known faces? Was Beztati like Grigorian before Glory? Or who else to hire, Petrosyan? Or non-ONE like Chris Ngimbi who is old? To become like ONE in most of the kickboxing divisions?
Who has Gashi fought? Who is "Goldie-Galloway"? I am not saying to give a title chance to a Romanian, I am speaking about rebuilding the category.
Well, actually Paraschiv was qualified for the belt. Maybe also Caliniuc because he is undefeated and a two division champ. Not a more fan of Paraschiv, but when to receive the chance if he is already experienced?
Crowning Beztati against Gashi is just bad. And especially if Gashi loses by KO again.
I think Paraschiv has 70-80% chances against Gashi and Caliniuc 90% (because of styles). Paraschiv stopped guys like Ivan Naccari and Rangel Ivanov, who are much better fighters (and the Chinese and the German I forget their name).
BASED ON WHAT ARE YOU PUSHING GASHI FOR BEZTATI? He only has a KO win over a Jauncey who is a decent kickboxer but very inconsistent in results. Like more mediocre than average...

The only worth title fight in Glory in the division now is probably Beztati VS Gazani. Jaraya is a name but he disappointed in 2 fights and honestly his wins over Simson and Glunder are not much. Those type of matches are "sure".
IMO
I mean what is the future of the Lightweight division with GERSHON? Gershon lost to Claudiu Badoi who is severely beaten now by RAMBO, and looked anyway even in prime 1-2 classes under the current Romanian lightweights.
Hendouf is solid, I like him. But Billet and Gershon? And Jauncey not going up.

Nothing against Gashi, maybe I should follow him more to make a big point, compared to others who are not qualified for Glory. But I can honestly tell he is not a Championship Bout material. And meanwhile he takes his 2nd belt chance. If Glory are impotents, and they really want to award this title here without signing new faces, at least fucking put Gazani, if not at least Jaraya or Hendouf (not sure Hendouf though where really Hendouf stands, he was a hometown fighter but is very experienced and has taken on big names). Gashi should better prove here. But what are the chances of having a real promotion when Wrzosek and Gashi fight in the main events? Vlad Tuinov was thrown like a broken molar, although he still had 3 matches. I am not even convinced by Beztati but he is talented and stands top in Glory. Not outside, IN this promotion. www.glorykickboxing.com/fighters/tyjani-beztati:2c3eaf4d-46bb-4df8-ab2b-e596bd7cf8e4

I don't mind Gashi here too much. Yea his only real notable win is the one over Jauncey but Glory needs title fights for their events specially now that it's just PPVs. Beztati-Jauncey would be a little better but if that wasn't doable for whatever reason then this is fine. Jauncey will also be the natural next guy in line for the title fight in events later in the year unless they sign someone from ONE

Tuinov gave some interview and his contract just ran out at the end of the year and he wasn't too happy with Glory.

You are certainly not very aware of the Romanian scene now and 50% of the Paraschiv losses are actually robberies. The Iranian German refused to fight and the referee was corrupt. Aside from big names like Ghita, Adegbuyi etc. nobody who isn't Romanian is 'aware' of the Romanian scene, because the fighters you're talking about don't really have meaningful victories. They might be talented, but they need to prove themselves, before any big promotion will show interest. That or be part of a Gym with political pull. Also, every time a Romanian loses by decision you call 'robbery' and 'corruption'. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but when someone has the same excuses every time it becomes hard to take them seriously. Whenever a Romanian wins a decision in Romania that's actually shady you're defending the decision (Stoica/Vorinin for example). Are you not seeing the pattern here? BASED ON WHAT ARE YOU PUSHING GASHI FOR BEZTATI? 1. No need for all caps. 2. I'm not 'pushing' it at all. I just don't have a problem with the matchup and see what Glory is going for here. And I never said Glory shouldn't give lesser known fighters a chance, just not hire someone and put them in a title fight straight away. Unless it's a huge name or much anticipated matchup or something. But I believe that for now Glory's main focus will be the LHW & HW divisions and the rest will kind of serve as 'card filler'. Sure they'll have a title fight here and there (Van Soest/Pereira), but I'm not getting the idea they're truly interested in building any divisions aside from the heavier guys right now. And they were just on the edge of bankruptcy, I get that they're trying to streamline some things. I have a lot of issues with Glory, but I do understand some of their decisions right now. Tuinov gave some interview and his contract just ran out at the end of the year and he wasn't too happy with Glory. Tuinov probably didn't join Glory at the best of times and wasn't really used the best way possible. I can see him randomly appearing in some Tatneft or KOK event, before ending up at One or something.

Dug up some of the interesting bits of the interview Tuinov did. Through google translate so keep that in mind.
Up to 77 kg?
In Glory, yes, the next weight is 77 kg, so I don’t know how everything will go there. I have a contract for 70 kg. If Glory gives the green light and consent to box at 77, if everything goes well, the borders open, and Glory organizes a fight for me, then maybe they will see me again this year. While this is all at the negotiation stage.
contract with Glory for 2 years. Until January 2021, I remain in the organization. All my fights, as well as some media things, I must coordinate with this organization. Therefore, I have difficulties: both in terms of speaking in other organizations, and in terms of disseminating myself in the media. So far, we have no interest in extending this contract, because everything is very complicated in working with Glory. At the moment, we want to become free agents, as we were before the signing of the contract with Glory. We will box where we feel comfortable, fill up fights, experience, and, perhaps, in the future, when I am already a seasoned professional with a record for 100 fights, I will try myself again in Glory.
And what difficulties arose in the process of cooperation with Glory?
First of all, this is getting at least some information from the organization. You are asking for permission to take part in a particular tournament (I can do this under a contract, but it needs to be agreed). And now you have three months for this, and Glory is simply silent for a month and does not give you an answer. And you are constantly in limbo. Glory sends offers of battles very late. The earliest notification of us about the battle - in a month. Usually it’s two, three weeks. And you, being in this organization (and last year I spent only three fights in Glory), you must constantly keep yourself in great shape, constantly be prepared for the fact that they can send you an offer to fight. And also it is necessary to drive weight ... It is very difficult. I spoke with many athletes from Glory, and very many have a similar situation. I understand that there are many fighters, but I would like a different attitude from the organization. We bring money to the organization, we are the media who bring the organization popularity and new fans, and there is simply no respect for the organization’s fighters.
I think that this depends on the interest of the organization itself in the athlete, on the athlete's place of residence. Glory very strongly pulls the Dutch fighters. And not necessarily the Dutch, fighters of any nationality, living in Holland. It is easier for them to contact the head of the organization: they can train in the same room, go to the same store, and even simply be neighbors. And it’s much easier to build communication in this way.
Well, also on the importance of a fighter for the organization. If the organization’s fighter is interesting, then they will hold on to it. if they see some kind of avenue, perspective, opportunity to make money on a fighter, then they will squeeze the juice out of the fighter as much as possible. Therefore, some of the fighters are satisfied with the conditions, and some are facing difficulties. We faced difficulties for the second time. The first time we stayed 5 months without fighting and terminated the contract, but this time we stayed 7 months without fighting, but could not terminate the contract.
For two years, 4 fights - this is very small, given that before I had 7 fights.
During the contract with Glory, we had about 10 proposals for battles for World Champions titles in different versions.
WAKO PRO, ISKA, WKF ... Kunlunfight was waiting for us when they played the title in the four. And all this was frustrated just because we had a contract with Glory. In a word, I want to box, but we just sit still and cannot do this.
Vlad, and if you compare the conditions of Kunlun and Glory, then which organization is preferable for you?
Of course, Kunlun is more convenient for me, even though there are longer flights. First of all, I like the organization’s respect for the fighters. They try to do everything so that the fighters feel calm, do not think about anything and can fully express themselves in the tournament. On the financial side, both organizations are willing to pay. But we have closer relations with Kunlun, better conditions, and somewhere even Kunlun can give us more favorable conditions for money, but for us, in the first place, relations are the following: direct communication with the owner of the organization and a cool team that gives the right understanding of all the nuances.
For example, in Glory, you never understand where you should be now, now, then ... you are fined endlessly for coming somewhere one minute later, and you are in some kind of tension until the tournament itself . In Kunlun, upon arrival, you will be given a list that indicates where and what time you should be and what to do. This list has been translated into three languages: Russian, English and Chinese. An interpreter is attached to you, who walks with you everywhere, translates everything, explains everything. And you understand that people are responsible. In Glory, it is left to chance. They believe that the athlete should know all this himself.
There are also disadvantages, but for me, Kunlun is certainly much closer than Glory. And not only because I had more successful performances there. Sometimes I lost there, and there were also misunderstandings in terms of judicial decisions. And it was more than once, but I like the attitude within the organization.
We constantly contact the owner of the organization. He will find out how I am doing, I will find out how he is doing. And this is despite the fact that now I do not have a business relationship with Kunlun. We have friendly relations, we communicate very well. For comparison, in Glory’s organization you write your question (in the case) to a secretary in the mail, and then you wait until it is considered within a week. And you think: “How much do you need to do in order to find out information about the next performances in an elementary way”.
You request a photo from the battle, but you get it for 3-4 months ... or you don’t get it at all. And you think: “I can at least put something out to confirm that I was in Glory?!?”
When I went to the debut match, I did a photo shoot with Glory. Photos came out cool. I left my mail to the photographer, asked me to drop them. And I waited six months, but he never threw them to me. I wrote to him weekly, but he simply ignored me. I read my posts, but did not take photos. As a result, I got them from a completely different place: from Glory's Brazilian Instagram account, that is, not through an official source in fact. And they were not in very good resolution, but at least I got some material, it’s already good.
Vlad, are there any advantages for Glory over Kunlun? Not just because you signed up there twice already ...
The Glory organization has one big advantage: working with American television (UFC Pass). You can also highlight the factor of media: they are much more likely to flash on social networks. The Chinese are more focused on their own, domestic market.
(on China) But there is also a minus in this. Speaking in China, you are known only in China. It is very difficult to spread your fame to the European and American markets, speaking only in China.
Glory has a certain authority. Perhaps with some reservations, but authority. And by boxing in this promotion, you get a name. You box in one of the best organizations in the world! Well, their media is much wider than in China.
Vlad, tell me how your relationship with Glory started. Who initiated them?
It so happened that we almost simultaneously received three contracts: Kunlun, One Championship and Glory. At One, we were not immediately satisfied with the conditions, because they were somehow ... inadequate. They offered one fight a year. We thought it was unreasonable. Kunlun had difficulties in organizing and we decided to try Glory. A year later, we signed up for the organization.
OK. What do you think about One Championship now? Would you like to jump there later?
In principle, we now have a proposal from them. And it’s not bad, but I don’t want to sign red tape, long-term contracts. While I want to be a free agent, to box at various tournaments, to collect more titles. Maybe in the future we will subscribe to any promotion with a long-term contract, but before that we want to have more fights, earn a name, and then think about One or Glory.
