I sure wouldn't hope so.
The one time Glory has an event that looks really good they keep delaying it.
This is pure speculation on my behalf, but perhaps Glory needs more time to find a TV broadcast partner?
The Spike deal sure appears to be of zero value.

I understand why they're doing it, but it still sucks. There will have been EIGHT months between G77 and G78. Do they really expect audiences to just be fine with this seemingly endless wait? I guess they can get away with it since they don't have a direct competitor. Better promotions? Absolutely, just none that really go after an international market.
Also still no official announcement on Glory's website.

 Well, it's official. While we don't have an exact date yet, it's pushed to September. Comments are full of hate lol. While I don't agree with the general tone, I can't say I blame people. |

At least the date has been made official.
I feel like they purposely waited a bit so they can say 'it's less than two months away!'.
While I'm definitely still looking forward to this I am getting increasingly annoyed by how long it takes Glory to make things happen. There is absolutely 0 actual real world guarantee in Glory 'ensuring' us a large crowd will be able to attend the event.

So the Dutch government has been reintroducing restrictions due to the number of COVID infections exploding since a bunch of restrictions were lifted a few weeks ago.
Who knows where we'll stand in two months. So much for Glory 'ensuring' a crowd of thousands happening.

Romania is completely open and free of COVID, just that they count now the deaths from behind. There are no more severe cases since months. There is absolutely no stress, mask is not mandatory since a lot of time (just in some indoor conditions, when not many are vaccinated). Just that there are 40 degrees.
Out of 50,000-60,000 new flats in Bucharest this year, 11,000 were bought by foreigners. There are 4 new stadiums just in the capital, one with roof in case of rain.
Stay in Holland then, because last time they closed the whole gyms instead of only gyms in some towns with big rate!
I smelled a "fiasco" 2 months ago. If this virus is not dead, autumn is logically a re-launch.
Badr Hari could have easily fought Morosanu instead.
When will Glory host events? In autumn and almost winter? This is hilarous. Instead of the summer, in this 1st summer the rate dropped big...

Honestly Glory should've just done some events even with no or a small crowd.
They could've done a couple of smaller, but fun cards with competitive fights.
Stream the events for free and it would've earned them a lot of publicity from media and goodwill from fans.
But no, 8 months of nothing between G77 and G78. Don't they have marketing and PR people working for them?

Like even qualifying events, K1power, right? Put young Dutchmen, Romanians, Russians and others. Even Asians if you want solid 65. There are very nice names outside the promotion.
They wouldn't have to be expensive. I would have even paid 10 euros for every event.
You could do a better strategy than their losers. This was a really good idea.

FightBox would have been a broadcast option as well. FightBox are paying Colosseum Tournament money. And Colosseum Tournament are able to put: Colosseum Tournament, Prometheus (their "farm" promotion) and Road to Colosseum (where they pay locals).
They don't care for their fans unfortunately. Not a good sign for the future. They don't even care about their official website...

They could have done a bunch of 'Road 2 Glory' events like they used to do. Tournament winner gets to fight in a numbered event. Something like that. They could have done a lot of things that would have been better than what they went with. Oh well. At least the September card is looking stacked. |
