So nice to have solid Glory cards again. These aren't even comparable to some of the US cards that had maybe 2 interesting fights on them sometimes.

Very good card! (OP Updated)
We have 3 title fights: Alex Pereira (C) vs. Artem Vakhitov 2 - LHW Championship Donovan Wisse vs. Yousri Belgaroui - Middleweight Championship Tyjani Beztati vs. Elvis Gashi - Lightweight Championship
Not sure how I feel about Wisse vs. Belgaroui for the MW belt, but they're gonna need someone if Pereira is abandoning the weightclass.

Lambagiu now fights as a middleweight, we will see his 1st fight in this division against Vardakos (a former challenger to Maslobojev).
Normally Belgaroui is qualified to become champion. Also Wisse if he can defeat him. Young Belgaroui was a demolisher in Romania. I mean he deserves way more than Beztati or even Hamicha. He's more proven and mature now.

In the video he looks very poor, but hoping for Nieky to help him.

I think his movement isn't bad, perhaps a bit slow.
He still has some time to prepare.

Annoying how the main event is like the 6th or 7th most interesting fight on this card. In a way is insulting to the fans. Personally I have zero interest in the main event, but I'm quite excited for the rest of the card.

While I agree that it's a weak headliner if you look at the whole card, I understand it from a marketing perspective.
You say it's an insult to fans, but I - as a fan - have never paid for their product. And I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one. My point being that Glory has to cater to who is most likely to buy their PPVs, not necessarily to 'fans' who won't.
A lot of casual fans or Badr-only fans may see this headliner and go for it. Only time will tell. Looking at how Glory addressed the success of their previous couple of events though, I think it's safe to say their Badr event did waaaay better numbers than their Rico event. Which is why Badr vs. Wrzosek is the upcoming headliner.
And just for the record; I'm still interested in the fight, even if it's lower on my list.
It's a funny predicament, though. I want kickboxing to thrive and while I find the whole PPV angle interesting, I hope it fails out of principle. I'm against paying to watch sports at home, especially when it's for a company I don't really respect.
I've spent a good amount of money on tickets to go see live events, which are typically way more expensive than any (kickboxing) PPV. I never had a problem with that. Now, attending events has been on hold due to COVID, but it's something I'd pursue again if the opportunity arises. But I digress...

The reason why I find it insulting to the fans is that there are 7 HW besides Hari fighting on this card and they chose the worst one. And while I understand that he should not fight an elite fighter yet... there are still many others that at least could have poses a decent challenge that would have told us where Hari is at. This one won't really tell us anything. I believe that those that were/are going to buy the PPV deserve a better opponent for Hari.

While I understand and to a certain degree agree with that reasoning, the reality is that Badr hasn't won a fight since 2015. Even his no contest/ victory against Hesdy was in 2018. Additionally, in all of Badr's recent losses he showed very little heart once he started getting hurt. I think Glory wants as close to a guaranteed win for Badr they can get, which is why he's fighting Wrzosek. A victory would be good for Badr's confidence, fan commitment and would re-establish his value as a PPV draw for future events.
Let's say Badr fights someone like Rigters now instead of Wrzosek and loses. His value would be close to 0. Potential headliner rematches with Overeem, Rico, Saki etc. would be a much harder sell without at least one recent victory. Hell, if Badr beats Wrzosek now Glory could go as far as make the fight with Quarteron finally happen. There's the whole storyline with 'Badr-ducking-Patrice' and Badr's 'hitlist' from a few years ago they could milk.
That said, I don't think Wrzosek will be as much of a walkover as a lot of people seem to think. Badr looked worse against Benny than Wrzosek did and has gotten very fragile. If he still shows long-lasting effects of his serious COVID infection this is far from a sure thing. I still see Badr as a clear favorite going into this, but I'd be somewhat surprised if he scored a KO in the first round.

Okay so after browsing a few news sites it appears that this event is being postponed. Glory hasn't made an official announcement yet, but there are a couple of conflicting stories. mmadna.nl/breaking-glory-78-verplaatst-na-blessure-badr-hari/www.vechtsportinfo.nl/nieuws/glory-verplaatst-evenement-17-juli-naar-later-tijdstip/What I understood: - The event will be pushed to September. - Although it has been rumoured the event is postponed due to Badr sustaining an injury in training, Badr is actually fine. - The actual reason this is pushed back is Glory wants to wait a few months so that they can fill a venue with an audience. Nothing has been made official yet, but I can buy the above story. It's up to Glory to make an announcement. It sucks possibly having to wait until September, though.

They can push it to next year. If the pandemic ends. When you still want to be notorious, you can just extend Beztati and Jauncey contracts as well.
