That's a great list of names!
Will look into the Cavalari one, cheers.

Just read the Cavalari interview. He comes across as a happy-go-lucky kind of person and is a bit all over the place, but it might just be a bit of a language barrier thing.
Too bad injuries have kept him out of fights for such a long time (he's suffered some terrible losses in bareknuckle boxing), but I hope he can get back on his feet.
Interesting to read he still has fights left on his Glory contract. Will Glory honor it, or use their hiatus and subsequent restructuring as an excuse to get out of it?
I actually wouldn't mind a fight with Saki.

Just read the Andrei Stoica interview. Seems like a nice guy, though perhaps a bit full of himself. What stood out to me is that it he appears to be spreading himself way too thin for any noteworthy accomplishments as a fighter. Also, he may very well cross over to MMA in the not too distant future. On to something that stood out to me from the website; when visiting www.fightsports.tv/sport/kickboxing/ there's no hint of all those interviews as they're completely snowed under by more recent articles. I'm not sure you have any say in it larsenator, but I'd make sure there is a way to show sub-categories on the kickboxing landing page; news stories, upcoming fightcards, interviews etc.

Keep up the good work, with your section, the Beyond Kick website and the interviews from Tim Wheaton and Brandon Cuttino we are having probably more Kickboxing coverage than ever. And that is good.

I get why you're covering him from a website traffic's perspective, but I really wish clowns like Leduc and Tate wouldn't get any media attention. Or any attention at all, really.
One 'dominates' in a sport that has no competitors (let alone talent pool), whereas the other never won a single step-up fight during his career. They didn't gain fame as fighters, but as social media attention whores.
And I'm using the term 'fame' generously here.

Leduc mostly just seems to be hailing himself as the king, which is part of the whole problem here.
He's selling himself as Myanmar's white savior, but is obnoxiously throwing money around on social media while the people of Myanmar are suffering under military rule. Needless to say anyone actually thinking of themselves as some sort of hero is an insufferable narcissist to begin with.
Also Varga's video barely touches it, but there's the whole crapping on other disciplines while being obsessed with calling out Buakaw for somehow ducking him, even though he's the one hiding behind a niche ruleset, not to mention he outweighs Buakaw by, what, 20-30 pounds? And still even at 40 Buakaw would absolutely smash him. As would anyone else half decent if Leduc actually wanted to test himself.
It got to the point where he was banned from his own sport for his behaviour a while ago, because the MTLF felt as an ambassador of the sport he should know better than to make them look stupid.
None of this has anything to do with ignorance or jealousy. Just from a handful of clips and social media posts I saw from him, he genuinely comes across as a narcissistic douchebag and the 5 minutes I spent writing this post already feel like too much time.

I get that it would be a bad look for you as a sports journalist to trash people online. And I'm certainly not trying to change anyone's mind here, just explaining my personal opinion. Hell, I'm generally against fighter bashing - it's even one of our forum rules. Everyone with the balls to step inside a ring and risk their health for our entertainment deserves some respect.
That said, I don't like the Badrs and McGregors of this world due to their history of misconduct both inside and outside of the ring and I'm not going to hide my honest opinions, just because I might step on some toes. When I have a negative opinion on something I always explain myself, not because I have to justify myself to anyone - I really don't - but to avoid giving off the vibe that I have double standards or the impression that I'm not giving people a fair shake.
It's true that I don't know Leduc personally, but he's certainly given me plenty of ammunition to form a negative opinion of him. But hey, your experience was different and that's great.
