A couple of fights were added (OP updated).
With the event being roughly 5 weeks away, I expect the full card to be revealed shortly.

So, we have a full line-up for the tournament (OP updated). Interesting that there isn't a single Japanese fighter in the tournament.
There is a Japanese fighter in a HW superfight though: Kyokushin champion Ueda Mikio. I guess he's Kyokushin's representative for the ReBIRTH event and I wanna put my faith in him, but he got dropped by 52yr old Tsuyoshi Kohsaka last year. Hard to imagine a guy like that ever holding a K-1 belt, Kyokushin champ or not.
As for the tournament line-up; it's okay. Not the best, not the worst. K-1 is probably banking on Karimian meeting Sattari in the final, which I kinda don't see happening. It all depends on the quarterfinal matchups, though.

I am still surprised they even got Mahmoud back. I thought he was done with them back in March because he was training mma. I don't think he wins, but I would love to see it. I think he is just too small.
Interestingly, somebody actually had the line up on Wikipedia a few days ago. It's fine for what it is. I wonder if GLORY would ever send anyone over. I wonder what Latescu's deal is with them. He fights a day before against Toure.

I wonder if GLORY would ever send anyone over. I wonder what Latescu's deal is with them. He fights a day before against Toure. I'm not sure Glory likes this development at all, but we'll see. As far as Latescu goes I'm guessing he agreed to fight at Glory 88 before this tournament was set in stone, because it's a bit odd he isn't in it.

There's a fightcard related event on Abema this Saturday. Could it be the tournament draw?

A few more fights have been added (OP updated).
I like the card, but they have to stop adding fights now. We're at 15 bouts already and don't have a tournament reserve yet.
Hoping the next announcement will be limited to tournament matchups, remaining TBAs and reserve fight, nothing else.

Mahmoud Sattari recently did a video with Kai Asakura. He weighs 85 kg. He weighed that much when he won the Openweight tournament last year, but I don't see him doing anything this time.

Suzuki Hayato is fighting Mohamed Islam who used to fight in Enfusion.
Aside from a possible reserve fight we only need the tournament seed and we're good to go.
With the event only two weeks away, could it be possible that they actually wait with a tournament draw until the day of the weigh-ins?

Can I ask, at the risk of coming off completely casual.. is this heavyweight line up that much weaker compared to Glory's heavyweights? I mean, Rico, Tariq and possibly Bahram and Rigters aside, how would some of these guys do against the likes of Aygun, Wilnis, Mahieddine, Uku, Terpstra etc.. I like the look of some of them.

Sure, let's have a really quick analysis of each fighter in the field:
- Michał Turyński - Defeated Catalin Morosanu by Split Decision in his only Glory fight in 2017. It was an awkward fight and somewhat controversial decision. - Ariel Machado - Went 4-3 in Glory and was an actual contender, but that was 5 years ago and at LHW. - Valentin Bordianu - Romanian HW who mostly competed in the local Romanian circuit with mixed results. - Liu Ce - I'm not familar with him at all. - Mahmoud Sattari - A fun fighter with a physical advantage over most of his Japanese opponents. His best win was against a way past his prime Kyotaro. Got murdered by Latescu, who is no standout himself. You could argue that Latescu has an unfair advantage competing at cruiser, but this tournament will feature much bigger guys than Latescu. What can Sattari - who should really compete at Middleweight / 85kg - do against those giants? - Sina Karimian - A technically mediocre fighter who fights much smaller guys 90% of the time. Like Sattari he won't do well against guys who are able to (out)match his physicality, not to mention technique. - Claudio Istrate - Somewhat oversized mid-tier European HW. Seems to have shed a ton of weight recently, so he might surprise. Hasn't really done anything impressive so far, though. - Kerim Jemai - Like Liu Ce I'm not familar with him.
I know this tournament is 'open weight', but to me that just means heavyweight with some smaller guys in it. If you put someone like Wilnis in it he'd instantly be my favorite - despite getting killed by Osaro recently. I'd be surprised if he didn't at least make it to the final. Same goes for Mahieddine and some other lower ranked Glory fighters.
Aside from Liu Ce and Kerim Jemai who I don't know, I don't see any of these fighters winning any belts in Glory at any weight. They could all compete, sure, but probably wouldn't exceed mid-tier.
That doesn't necessarily mean this is a bad tournament; K-1 has to start somewhere and some guys in the field may surprise us. I'm totally ready to be surprised/proven wrong. It's just that Glory is pretty far ahead of the competition at the higher weightclasses, including ONE, who really only have Kryklia.
