GLORY set to make debut in BulgariaInteresting move. Is this just going to be a cheap event with mostly Eastern European talent, pleasing a local broadcast/streaming partner or will there be more to it? There should be some sort of Grand Prix qualifier taking place here. At least Glory is not only restricted to Benelux/France/Germany anymore. Edit: So according to the article it will indeed contain a GP qualifier and at least half the card will feature local talent.

I have wondered why Bulgaria doesn't get featured more in sporting events. It's a beautiful country and has produced some good, albeit not elite, boxers, kickboxers, and mma fighters.

I think you pretty much hit the nail on the head there; lack of elite contenders. Many countries have very active martial arts scenes, but remain in obscurity until they produce big enough names to get noticed. Bulgaria has someone like Koprivlenski now who's a legit title contender and will probably headline or at least co-headline the card. One of our members, sg, is a fighter from Bulgaria. He only shows up when bigger events are going down, but it'd be interesting to hear about the Bulgarian kickboxing scene from his perspective.

Was expecting there to be a local partner doing the heavy lifting for this. Still interesting that Glory is going to Bulgaria. Senshi has been pouring money into kick in Bulgaria, hopefully there'll be some fighters from them. Bulgaria > Romania Our Romanian friend must be fuming.

Bulgaria has a badass history, and I admire their ability to go through extreme depopulation for decades and still have a fully functional country. Romania cant top that.

So Levi Rigters has been added to the card's GP qualifier.
Who should he fight?

So Levi Rigters has been added to the card's GP qualifier. Who should he fight? Rematch with Kecojevic, that fight was wild.

That is a bit of a weird one.
Perhaps they want to guarantee a Dutch flag representative in there for Videoland or something.
