Wonder what we can expect here. Made a quick look through some of the Japanese fighters blogs but nobody seems to have spilt the beans about fighting on this card. Ah, and it's apparently again in Changsha.

Here's something: As most of you might have taken note of, K-1 has recently started numbering their events.
I believe it started with the K-1 MAX Finals in Thailand last year.
The poster of their recent China VS USA event carries the number 407, making it their 407th event since 1993 (although I'm not sure which events they counted and which they didn't, but that's another topic entirely). Now, what's interesting is that the China VS Japan event carries the number 409.
This means that despite the cooperation between K-1 Global and K-1 Japan not being as tight as we'd wish, someone was at least smart enough to include the upcoming K-1 Japan GP in the count as that must be the one carrying the number 408.
I think it would be good if K-1 Global told the guys in Japan to include the numbers on their posters as well. IMO despite being a bit subtle it'd be a very effective little strategy in making things look more like one.

They ARE working together to some extent. We'll have five K-1 Japan tournaments this year and ten K-1 shows in China. I think a problem right now is that most of the guys they want to book for the China vs. Japan show are on the K-1 Japan show, but there is cooperation and fighters that K-1 Japan are using will probably fight for the K-1 shows in China at some point.

That's cool. I thought they might be talking about sharing fighters when it was announced that Denis Puric who fought at the K-1 Finals in Pattaya last year will be a tournament replacement in the upcoming K-1 Japan event.
Also, 15 scheduled K-1 events this year? All in Asia? That's awesome!

There are still some that aren't booked for any fights I think. Like Kubo, Hiroya or Kido.

A bit over two weeks before the event. It's about time a fightcard is announced.

Anyone else feels like we will learn about the card from some website or Kazuma and not directly from K-1, yet again?

I love not getting news directly from K-1! id be pissed if I wasn't friends with Kazuma. he provides everything. and what he doesn't provide, everybody tags him so his friends SEE it.

It's like someone at K-1 is following this thread... Yeah, do you remember when I said that Virgil Kalakoda would be a good addition to Shootboxing, and like 3 days later he got signed? They're watching us..
