Peace out Pat Barry, although I secretly think that you finally watched tape on Bouzidi and decided to duck him.

probably a good idea for Pat. he hasn't looked good in any sort of combat in a few yrs.

For me it looks like a simple move for Glory, they clearly want him in the US only heavyweight tournament. Problem is, he won't win against Xavier (he looked decent at Glory19, decent compared to the other US heavies). And if he somehow manages to do it, he should prepare for his burial come next HW contender tournament.

I can see Pat being paired with Everett Sims in the tourney.
Also I feel bad for Bouzidi as he deserved an easy fight.

The replacement is Dustin Jacoby, easy win for Bouzidi? Easy win.

Did they feel they hadn't quite gotten him needlessly knocked out enough?

Don't remember being against and criticizing a Glory decision yet, but this is a bit slimy. Why is the winner of the HW US only tourney awarded a spot in the contender tournament later this year? The 2 fighters announced until now are not even top15 ranked and the 2 other fighters that will join will most probably be unranked. I have nothing against a US only tourney, but why do something so crappy? I'm disappointed

Sadly I think that Glory's decisions regarding American fighters are very Political at the moment. Again this is to encourage USA TV and fans to take an interest. Also your average sports dan can relate to an American HW underdog having a shot at the big time. It's something along the old Rocky movie scripts. As long as the good fighters get TV exposure and a decent pay check I can put up with Glory's US market strategy.

A lot of these decisions aren't coming from Glory, but Spike. Remember that.

"Special Attraction Boxing Bout"? Is that actually fought AFTER the main event?

I'm pretty sure that fight will not air anywhere but is just to keep the locals happy.
Kind of like how K-1 puts on an entire care of locals after their events but sometimes forgets to cut the stream off so we are all confused as to why we are watching bumfights on a stream.
