Emre Altintas (Spongs opponent) has a record of 10 wins, 5 loses, on Boxrec he is actually shown as a Middleweight.
Although he did start his career as a Welterweight and only his last 2 fights have been at Heavyweight (both losses including Spongs)
He has lost his last 4 or 5 now, but saying all this a credible opponent for Spong at this stage in his career.

It's a step up from Spong's last opponent that's for sure - not that that's difficult.
Spong will probably fight again in a few weeks so if he gradually steps it up a bit things work out.

I think he should work a lot on his defence. His opponent landed some big shots on him. Some of them, like those uppercuts, could have dropped him.
