Most of you are probably aware that as much as I love kickboxing, it isn't my true love. Running a kickboxing site is cool and all, but it wasn't exactly something that I went to school for and obsessed over doing my whole life.
That was what writing was for me. I was also pretty obsessive about science fiction growing up and still am. So yeah, my first book was about a fighter, but it was more of me cashing in on my connections and hoping that because I had a name in the industry it'd give me a boost.
But my second book is a complete departure from that and instead I chose to start a science fiction series.
On March 24th I'm releasing Terminus Cycle via Amazon. Terminus Cycle is book one of the Andlios series that I'm starting. No, you probably don't know what Andlios means because it is a weird amalgamation of Nordic words. I do a lot of that in this series, probably because Frank Herbert did something similar with the Dune books. There is no such word as "Arrakis," but a few Arabic words combined instead.
I'm not sure if any of you dudes are into scifi, but I'd say that it's worth checking out. Then again, I'm pretty biased.
For the moment I'm not releasing a paperback right away due to how much work it takes and I'm already pretty bogged down. I do everything on my own that I can, so typesetting and going through the proofing process of a paperback is something for the future when I have some down time. The decision came from how my sales went on my last book. Less than 1% of sales were paperbacks and literally thousands were sold on the Kindle marketplace. About four were sold between Apple, Google and Barnes & Noble's marketplaces, which just seems silly considering you get some perks for being exclusive to Amazon for 90 days.
So yeah, you need a Kindle, an eReader of some sort, a tablet, smartphone to read it. You can technically get the Kindle app on Windows and Mac OSX as well, but reading at a computer isn't always a great experience.
