Translation: Tuesday, April 15th 2014 14:21Former kickboxer (?) Badr Hari says Ernesto Hoost has tried to bribe him. He mentions it in his upcoming biography which is due for release next week, as Hari puts it the only true story of his life. 'He once tried to make a deal with me, it was on Hawaii in 2008. He proposed I take it easy for the first two rounds and really see who's the best in Round 3. Hoost, the coward.' Ernesto Hoost denies the accusations. 'I did talk to Badr about fighting at one time, but this is completely made up by him. Total nonsense.'Source: www.at5.nl/artikelen/125693/hari-ernesto-hoost

Hawaii 2008?
That was the beautiful clusterfuck where Leko came off the canvas to beat an ex con, Hari got buzzed by Ostelic at exactly the same time he KO'd him, Saki won a tournament by beating Randy Kim in the final and the event poster advertised virtually every big name K-1 fighter on it with only a fraction of them appearing, right?
Was there any way K-1 or Akebono (co-promotion) would have unearthed the money to put a Hoost-Hari fight on? From what I understood at the time, Akebono was bathing in red ink at the end of that show and that was without Hoost fighting on the show and he wouldn't have been cheap either.
I remember Hoost telling Schiavello circa 2009 that there were rumours that K-1 wanted a Hoost-Hari fight.
