unionmma.ru/news/2227/Looks like it's actually legit this time. What do you think of this and where do you expect Fedor to compete; Bellator, UFC, somewhere else?

just hope its not disastrous. its kimbo n all but you know he still knows how to punch people in the face and sometimes that's all it takes is one of those.

I have no clue who the person who wrote that article is and the chances of him having that news before everyone else is extremely slim. I'm sure they are working on a contract now, but it's nowhere near complete yet.

Yeah it's still all rumors at this point, though I like the idea of Fedor taking on Hunto.

I was kind of hoping that it was kind of a bad secret and was being revealed this weekend at the PPV.
How crazy it is that even all this time Zuffa kind of need Fedor?
And, isn't Fedor playing the game like a maestro?
Surely, surely UFC 193 is a touch too close? If I was to pick a time and a place, it would be Jan 2nd, UFC 195 alongside the projected Werdum-Velasquez II. Bleed the hype dry out of it, and the UFC are surely in a position to do that in the current climate?
UFC 195: The Gift.

Pretty much all the rumours of late have been about Fedor in the UFC, but theres still a chance he could end up back in Japan I think.
When it was first announced that Fedor was making a comeback there was a fair bit of speculation in Japan that he'd be fighting for a new org on NYE. It's all a bit circumstantial bit it makes some sense.
Back in July Tanikawa announced at a press conference, literally the day before the event, that Fuji TV had suddenly decided not to broadcast Ganryujima 2 on Fuji TV NEXT. He said they didn't give a reason but he'd heard Fuji TV were planning to broadcast a different fighting event on their terrestrial channel on NYE. Add to that Coker saying Sakakibara is back planning an event for this year and it seems there might be something to this.
If there indeed was a new event of that scale in the works I think it's fairly safe to assume they must have some decent amount of money to spend, and are very much in need of a big name...

Very interesting details and theory.
It's fun to speculate.

Okay, that would be huge. Oh, and I really doubt it.

Oh yeah I have almost zero faith it's happening, but it'd be awesome.
