Wooo! Shout out! Sorry for not responding to the quiz guys. Afraid some of the early UFC stuff went over my head. Agreed that Kunlun is sorta getting stale since it seems like they have events almost every other weekend. To be fair though, its probably less their event planning and more them doing all their fight build up in Chinese and us not really getting the context they're trying to frame the fights/ One small clarification on the RIZIN thing. I think the whole charade with Mirko and Wanderlei was that Mirko called out Takada and asked him to arrange the fight vs. Wanderlei on the spot. Takada put on a little show with him claiming that he couldn't decide that by himself and asking Sakakibara and the fans for permission. Not sure how much of that was pre-scripted vs. Mirko being a showman, but biased towards the former. Best moment was this observation. I shall now start calling Arsen 'Mini Baba'   |
