**New Event Calendar**

Dear Members & Visitors,

We have made a change to the navigation bar of the Forum, namely the Calendar.

For the past two years we have been using the Forum's native Calendar for Scheduled Events and Member Birthdays. Unfortunately, this Calendar is not without its little bugs and it has been a bit of a pain to work around them. This way we couldn't possibly include every noteworthy event as it would take an extensive amount of time to keep it up-to-date.

Going into the new Year we thought it would be great to have a more efficient and complete system and came up with a relatively simple solution: We have created a Combined View for three of the most complete Event Calendars:

Kiksie - Kickboxing Events Calendar
Combat Docket MMA Calendar
Boxing Docket, a Pure Boxing Calendar

You can find a link to it under "Event Calendar" on the Navigation Bar of the forum:



When you click it, a new tab opens in your Browser, showing the following view:



You can click on scheduled events for more details and at the top right you can adjust your View (Week/Month/Calendar) and filter out specific Calendar Views:



The Forum pretty much covers all the big events, but it's near impossible to do threads and coverage for every single thing and we hope you will find this to be a useful tool to keep track of all the events happening around the globe.

We would like to give a shout out to Shadess for his work on the Kiksie Database and the folks over at CombatDocket for their contribution as this Calendar would not be possible without them.

As for the old Calendar, we will continue to use it as a Birthday Calendar for Members and keep it reserved for possible Forum related events in the future.

**Update**

It's been almost a year and while for most of that time everything worked like a charm, users of the Event Calendar will have noticed that over the past few weeks it was missing some major events. The simple reason for this is that the Kiksie calendar is no more and the Combat/Boxing Docket calendars have more or less fused into a new one.

After a bit of digging, the solution we came up with is a combined view of the following calendars:

Kakutougi Event Calendar - Kickboxing, Muay Thai & J-MMA (events are added by me or other staff members)
Sunday Puncher Boxing - Boxing
CombatDocket - Boxing & MMA
Official UFC Schedule - UFC Events

Like before, you can click on scheduled events for more details and at the top right you can adjust your View (Week/Month/Calendar) and filter out specific Calendar Views.

Some events may be listed more than once if they happen to be scheduled in multiple calendars. We hope this helps us out for the foreseeable future.
