I don't dislike the card, but expected some bigger names & fights for a New York event.
With the talks of Morosanu and Ghita appearing on this card, I wonder if either of them will be matched up with Adegbuyi for an all Romanian showdown.

I doubt that. Morosanu said he wants to go down to LHW and the Ghita news apparently were total bullshit . Eh ...

Some updates to the card (OP updated): Benjamin Adegbuyi vs. Guto Inocente Saulo Cavalari vs. Pavel Zhuravlev Arthur Sorsor replaces Chris Mauceri against Bailey Sugden Also some shuffling of the fight order on the SFS portion of the card. liverkick.com/pavel-zhuravlev-vs-saulo-cavalari-headlines-glory-43-superfight-series/Again, I don't dislike the card, but expected more considering the venue. Where is Morosanu? He was announced. Why is Guto Inocente getting the title eliminator over D'Angelo Marshall? While it's true that he has beaten Marshall, Marshall most recently won the contender tournament, supposedly securing his spot for this very eliminator, while Inocente lost to Ben Saddik. Even if he's a late replacement, I feel Inocente has been getting some undeserved favoritism. Also, why is Jauncey so high up the main card after only beating 'okay' competition in Glory? I get that he's North American and all, but for all my complaining about the SFS being better than the main cards I felt putting Jauncey on the SFS portion was one of the few things they got right recently. Cavalari/Zhuravlev is the biggest fight on the card as far as I'm concerned and they put it on the SFS. If their intention really is to reach the largest possible audience with UFC Fight Pass, just switch the portions of the cards around (like with Den Bosch) and rename them, as long as the biggest fights of the night happen in the main portion of the card.

Josh Jauncey vs. Elvis Gashi Set for GLORY 43liverkick.com/josh-jauncey-vs-elvis-gashi-set-for-glory-43/We have a finalized card. Can't say I'm surprised Jauncey gets an easy opponent, although this makes me disagree even more with the fight being on the main card. This matchup just screams opening fight to me. I get the implication that Jauncey and Gashi are supposed to be able to draw a crowd, but I really have my doubts.

Great to see they got Meksen. Cav vs Pav is a good match. I hope Embree wins the tourney again.

The idea of putting it late on the card is so locals will stick around to see Gashi fight. But will they? He's fought in Friday Night Fights over there, but even they only draw a few hundred people per show.

Pivotal GLORY 43 SuperFight Series Bout Between Saulo Cavalari and Pavel Zhuravlev Elevated to Five-Round, Interim Title Affairwww.glorykickboxing.com/en/news/view/1376While the "Interim Title" is a joke, I like that it's a five rounder now.

They knew weeks ago it'd be a title fight "elevated" Glory wants those title fights on the cards and with the HW,Sitti and Vakhitov title fights not around have to do what you have to do I guess. Buuuuut tbh I'm fine enough with it being for an interim now with guys who are very legit title contenders anyway.

Ohw absolutely. They could just make this a 5 rounder without the artificial title though or simply call it 'Title Eliminator', because that's what it actually is. But let's play along for a minute, even if we're beating a dead horse here; why is the one 'title fight' of the event not on the actual main card?

man, lhw division is horse shit without saki and spong. The only elite fighters in that division are Vakhitov and Zhuravlev. Are they telling me that if Cavalari wins he will get another title shot at Vakhitov ? LOL they fought 3-4 months ago and Vakhitov totally tooled cavalari in the last two fights.

There are more than enough legit contenders, they just aren't in Glory. Kwasi and Kryklia, just to name two.
Also, some of the fighters on their roster were completely screwed over by Glory's own frustrating inconsistency with their 'system'. Remember when Hameur-Lain won a contender tournament, but instead of a title shot he got to fight Zhuravlev? He lost that fight and while Glory claimed he was still next in line for a title shot, we never heard anything about it again.
While it would be nice to have Spong and Saki, I feel we really don't need them. It's just that Glory management is incompetent and keeps making terrible decisions. It doesn't help that they're not the least bit transparent, as much as they might claim otherwise. While they actually do manage to get a few things right, I feel they consistently get more things wrong, which is terribly frustrating considering they're supposed to be the biggest kickboxing organisation by default -- something I don't agree with at all btw, but it is what it is.
I hate playing armchair coach, because I realize there is a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes that we simply aren't aware of, but I'm pretty sure some of the people on this forum alone would do a much better job at consistent matchmaking that follows a much better flowing narrative and creating solid cards with just the names that are available right now.

I mean, Ariel Machado beat Zhuravlev and just won the G38 tournament. So he went from top contender to guy waiting for a worthless interim title fight to pan out?
They said Vakhitov would be out until the end of the year, so I hope that whoever wins fights Machado. I dunno. This is ridiculous.
