I was very pleased to see Murthel Groenhart get the decision in the main event over Cedric Doumbe, like I mentioned in my breakdown earlier in the thread and also an outcome that I won a lot of money on at the sportsbook. It was an ugly, awkward fight, but that's how I felt Murthel had a better chance to upset Cedric than a more technical fighter like Nieky Holzken. In the co-main event, Abraham won as expected over Morales and it went the distance. In the tournament semi-finals it seems Harut Grigorian wasn't suffering from his quick return to the ring. Karim Benmansour was game and gave Harut a good fight but Grigorian's aggression won it for him. I severely overestimated Antoine Pinto's desire to stop his American opponent Zach Bunnell in their bout to advance to the final. Instead he was content to use his skill and length to just pick him off and take a decision. After that I wasn't surprised to see Grigorian go hard after Pinto in the tournament final despite having the much more difficult first fight and take the decision from him.
On the Superfight Series, I was also happy to see champion Tiffany Time Bomb get the knockdown and TKO stoppage over Meryem Uslu with a beautiful Lyoto Machida-like front kick to the face and follow-up punches and earn her first stoppage in the Glory ring. In the heavyweight fight I thought Catalin Morosanu would have trouble at this much lighter weight he is at now vs big Pole Michal Turynksi, but that said, he also should have gotten the decision as far as I'm concerned, even though I bet on Turynski as a sizable underdog. Dustin Jacoby quickly dispatching his woefully undersized opponent Sean Choice was no surprise and Robert Thomas' highlight reel KO of Warren Thompson was a thing of beauty. War refugee Nate Richardson certainly over-performed by out-pointing favorite Rafal Dudek. Lastly in the opening bout, I thought the Victor Pinto vs Adriano Maxim featherweight bout was close enough to be debatable and I was not shocked by the split decision. I'm definitely looking forward to the next Glory card!
