I expect people to be skeptical when they hear about this -- and to a degree rightfully so: Both JLB and Abidi haven't looked hot in their last few fights and Abidi has been retired for a decade: comebacks rarely pan out well.
Having said that, reactions on Facebook so far have been pretty positive and people seem to have some excitement over this. I only saw a few negative reactions on Twitter, which - again - you can't really blame people for.
I think the interesting angle of this is the history behind it and it will make people tune in if it happens.

In past we saw great comebacks, Lronard after 5 years, last year Ionut Iftimoaie came back after 5 yeats stop and beat Jorge Loren in front of 34.000 people audience. Abidi is still in good shape, runs every day and make sparring with Greg Tony... so why not if public wants this fight...

Are you Didier Le Borgne? Welcome to the forum!
I agree about there being some examples of successful comebacks. One that comes to mind is German boxer Henry Maske. He was undefeated until he lost his farewell fight to Virgil Hill in 1996. He came back in 2007 - 11(!!) years later - and managed to defeat Virgil Hill who was still succesfully boxing at the time in a rematch.
I have always been a fan of Abidi and was very disappointed to see an injury shortening a career that could have been bigger. If this fight happens I'd like to see it happen in either France or Japan where it should draw a lot of interest.

Yeaaah, while JLB/Patrice did some traffic, Abidi/JLB is getting the same amount of traffic of a live GLORY fight, if not more. More than Saki going to the UFC.

Someone created a new Facebook page for the fight yesterday: www.facebook.com/Abidi-Le-Banner-La-Revanche-628647387344652/The page was created roughly 12 hours ago and already has 300+ likes and someone shared a screenshot of Patrice Quarteron liking the page in the comment section below JLB's callout to Quarteron. I wonder if/when we get a response from JLB.
