Oh sure Glory, reward him even more. Ugh..
I mean, this was inevitably going to happen at some point. It's just frustrating to see assholes being rewarded.

Yeah optimally he wouldn't have been mini Badr outside the ring. If that was the case though he'd probably still be in Enfusion for 67346734674 years.

I asked a few people within GLORY about the suspension, "I think it's over?"
It was two years. It happened in the summer. Hasn't even been a year.

Jaraya will get owned by the WW elite so maybe that will be punishment enough.

It reeks of being a made up excuse. They want/need him to fight and don't really take the suspension seriously as it has no consequences as long as he isn't scheduled to fight in Holland during it.

I reached out to FOG to see what their official say is, but they've never been that responsive in the past.
All I've been hearing is that they may have reduced his sentence because he went to the judge's home and apologized in person.

The new Glory CEO was on. Doesn't necessarily seem like the most exciting fella but who knows how much of a public face for the company he'll be. Don't know much about the guy but at least some people seem to think he knows his stuff.

So AFAV, who has done some pretty good stuff on the kickboxing world in the past, is coming back with a new series and below is a teaser for it. Unfortunately it's without subtitles, so I did a very rough translation that should cover most of it:
Hesdy vs Badr - Loyalty
Lucien Carbin "If you want to make a fighter big it's gonna take you 6-7 years. And it's hard work. If you want a Mercedes you can work for it for 6-7 years.. but you could also steal that Mercedes.. and that's what a lot of trainers do. They're not even ashamed of it."
Mousid Akhamrane "I think nowadays a trainer, a good trainer, has only a very few fighters that stay. Just look at Lucien, Hyppo.. A lot of pretty good trainers in Amsterdam have only a very few fighters that stay. Why? Because the fighters want to call the shots in the gym. A lot of fighters as soon as they become champions they get arrogant."
Lucien Carbin "...And then a fighter has a lot more power, because the gym that stole the fighter is scared that he leaves again. Then you see all those asskissing campaigns.. when you hear some of the stories, I'm not naming names, but if you'd hear some of the stories you'd feel sick to your stomache."
Mousid Akhamrane "..Then they want to call the shots in the gym. It doesn't work like that. When you were a rookie you listened to your trainer. Now you're a champ and all of a sudden you're calling the shots in my gym? That's not happening. And then there's gyms where that's an option, so they head off there, I wish them well."
Sounds like there'll be some digs at Badr, Spong and perhaps Mike's Gym..? Either way interesting stuff and here's hoping once the 5 episode series comes out it'll be subbed.

Seems like trouble brewing for K-1 Japan Group as some of their fighters (e.g. Taiga, Kimura, Ozawa, Noiri) have been posting cryptic angry tweets the past few days. I assume the backroom politics must be intense.
Saitama card is going to be finalized this weekend. I was hoping for Kimura vs Mohan, but seems like Kimura vs Yamazaki and Kimura vs Pikeur is gaining steam

I hope it doesn't amount to anything serious. Either way, looking forward to the finalized card!

I hope it doesn't amount to anything serious. Either way, looking forward to the finalized card! The new rumor I'm hearing is the Try Hard gym is going to drop out of K-1. So Taiga vs Takeru cancelled and possibly Gonnapar vs Rukiya out as well. We should know within next few days. The source isn't great, so I'm giving this maybe 20-40% likelihood.
