HW Final Iraj Azizpour def. Roman Kryklia
Didn't exactly agree with the decision but hey the dude has wins over Gerasimchuk and Kryklia within a year now. Little bit less chubby Lazaar. So weird too as he was struggling against Asihati till a last second KO in R1 in the semifinal bout.
This was probably the worst judging in Kunlun I've seen all event long today. 3 judges just off in a bunch of fights. Didn't affect _that_ many results in the end but just scorecards that didn't make sense.

The judging was definitely weird. Especially Kryklia vs Iraj.

Sakakibara is continuing to fuel rumors that he's getting RIZIN into the kickboxing business full time. He's been going out of his way to diss K-1 Japan since last year, but now its in full steam with him claiming RISE is the #1 kickboxing org in Japan on the day K-1 Japan had its fall out.
2018 is looking to be the year of the long knives. It'll be interesting to see who's left standing after the bodies start hitting the floor.

Gonnapar's opponent for Feb 12th is now Katsuki Ishida. Hats off to K-1 Japan Group, that's a smart matchup damage control wise.
EDIT:
Jaraya is defo starting to look like a welterweight now

Glory signed Sofia Olofson who beat Iman Barlow in Sweden a while ago.

Glory signed Sofia Olofson who beat Iman Barlow in Sweden a while ago. If the ref lets the clinch go she will beat Meksen. If its typical Glory reffing she stands zero chance.

Could be the lighting and he was never the super ripped type, but he does have a distinct 'chunky guy flustered after a lifeguard asked him to take his shirt off when dipping into the pool' look to him.

GoH seems to be kind of reviving the Rise of Heroes structure from last year. That ended up dying last year along with one of their 2 tv deals but guess they really want to do some kind of tournament stuff.
So bunch of tournaments. At 57kg, 63kg, 67kg and 72kg. 15 fights so 16-man tournaments then? Think this time these are aimed at B/C level guys and probably all or mostly with Chinese fighters to find some new talents I guess? ~€40k for winner of each. Also seems like at least some of these will be done with/by some people who also run a bunch of Kunlun C level events which is kind of funny.
I just don't get GoH at all after they left Henan TV. They have the strongest Chinese gym but their promotional efforts are just all over the place.
