I think Gerges is being underestimated a little. He got caught in the first 35 seconds by brestovac after rushing in carless. I believe he would beat Brestovac in a rematch. I think Badr should be the favourite, but the odds should be closer. Let's not forget that Gerges beat very clearly Ismael Londt and had a fight against Guto that could have gone either way( most of the people think he actually beat Guto). Also had a close fight with Benny and a win over Thomas Hron who went to beat Roman kyrlya right after. Also Hesdy was robbed a while ago in the fight against Jahfarr Wilnis.
Gerges was incredibly unlucky with all these bullshit decisions. In my opinion he is still top 5 HW... only behind Rico, Badr, Jamal and Benny.
So what do you think guys, is an upset waiting to happen?

Funny looking at Glory HW rankings, Hesdy doesn't make the top 12 guys that they show. Generally speaking their only weight class ranking that is somewhat what I'd consider World/Glory level.
0-1 Anthony McDonald makes it to #10 still even there though.

I fully agree: Hesdy's recent record doesn't do him justice as he definitely got screwed a few times. However, with that tough KO loss to Brestovac momentum really isn't on his side. It's a much tougher loss than Badr's injury loss to Rico and it's much more recent as well. Every time I go with Hesdy he ends up losing, so I'm going with Badr by TKO. So if Badr wins I end up with the right pick, but if he doesn't I end up being happy with the result!  |
