Happening this Saturday!
Or is it..? DUN DUN DUNNNN!!
Man, just now noticed that Overeem is fighting and has been demoted to undercard, ugh..
Edit: Same for Rashad Evans, he's even further down. And yet somehow 0-1 CM Punk is on the main card. Yay UFC!

Really? I mean, how did the hype surrounding him even start.. was he that big a star as a rassler?
Even so, after how easily he lost his first fight shouldn't the hype have died at this point?

At this point that's almost an effortless accomplishment.

Romero missed weight by POINT TWO pounds. This is now a non title fight. I hope theyre paying Whittaker a billion dollars for fighting for nothing.

How many times has Romero missed weight at this point?
I'm starting to feel like the alarming emergence of 'weight fraud' may be one of the biggest underlying causes of so many UFC fights falling through: fighters are consistently trying to compete in weightclasses their bodies weren't meant for.
I've probably stated this before, but the punishment should be way WAY harsher for every repeat offender. Second time missing weight? 50% purse cut. Third time? You fight for free or you can find another promotion.
I feel like half the roster would move up to their actual weight and a lot less fights would fall through if the consequences would be more severe.

This image is the most shocking photo I have ever seen in any combat sport... something that you only find on liveleak on isis videos or some shit like that

This image is the most shocking photo I have ever seen in any combat sport... something that you only find on liveleak on isis videos or some shit like that Ask yourself this: If something is the most shocking thing you have ever seen, is it a good idea to post a giant version of it here? No, it isn't. It's specifically mentioned in the forum rules. And while I'm certainly not the strictest guy with rules, I feel this should be a no-brainer. I'm fine with posting pictures of fighter injuries, but only to a certain degree. This is a pretty gory looking photo and some visitors will be uncomfortable seeing it, so I removed it. People who want to see it can google it themselves. I'm also fine with people posting a link to an article that contains pictures like that, because there usually are warnings before they show something like this.

Good to see Romero lost. What a surprise, CM Punk lost too. Who would have thought?
On to what I really want to talk about: It's depressing to see that Alistair lost spectacularly again. Not in a sense that he was completely outclassed, because from what I read he was winning until the third round, but being on the receiving end of hellbows that make your face look like minced meat after having almost been decapitated by Ngannou can't be good.
We have to wonder: what's left for the Reem at 38?
He won't be winning the title anymore at this point, but aside from that I feel he has proven himself enough in the UFC. Does anyone need him to stick around to become the gatekeeper for younger, hungrier fighters?
One scenario would be him going to Bellator, but that has not exactly gone smoothly for all the other UFC fighters that did and I feel it wouldn't for him either.
I actually think his best move - aside from retiring, but I don't see that happening - would be going back to kickboxing. The bigger gloves give him more of a fighting chance and while I don't want to be an advocate for roids, he'd have less restrictions there, depending on where he'd end up.
What do you guys think?

I watched the fight live and blaydes was winning with ease. Other than a moment in round 2 when overeem rocked blaydes with a knee, he was easily dominated by him. Not only did blaydes took reem down at will, but he even won the stand up. Reem should really hang them up. He was my favourite fighter in k-1, but right now he can't compete with the top guys and he is heading to a life of severe brain damage.
