So the Romanian fans hacked you? Do you have twins? Can't you make a deal out of it? ( This is crazy! Nah. The hacked stuff from a few years back was from the old server that I was on. The entire server was hacked and injected with malware. That was why I had to migrate to a different server and changes CMSes from Joomla to WordPress. Joomla was nice, but the security features weren't there compared to something like WordPress, which isn't as nice looking, but is widely used and patched constantly. Yeah, I have twin boys: Lennox David and Owen Prince. They're a little over two-years-old now.

I hope the info gets archived, a lot of KB fights I can only find out about by reading old LK articles. I've got the hosting until June. Gonna evaluate what happens from there. I have the archive from the old site, but it's so large that un packaging it takes up a month's worth of server resources.

liverkick.com/so-this-is-farewell-my-dearest-friend/The long-short is this: I had an ad deal with GLORY that virtually nobody knew about. It existed and I basically just invoiced their accountant and talked to their web developer for graphics. When I brought it up to a higher-up to try to renegotiate nobody knew that it existed. Okay. So I shopped around. ONE was super interested. I was leery, but whatever, it was more money. Everything was final, until it wasn't. Then there were snags in payment, they weren't replying to emails, then came the "we need you to come to Singapore to talk through the deal." My friends, the money on the line is negligible to most and I don't have five spare days during my wife's busiest time of her classes. Whatever. Then there's the fact that our nanny that we used on the weekends and during the week when we needed to do other stuff moved back to Michigan. We found someone to watch them on the weekends, but then, well, she didn't show up last weekend and wasn't responding to texts. Finding people to watch two-year-old twins is a nightmare, never mind for what we can afford. My days are 14+ hours long right now and it's not going to get better for a while. You've probably noticed over the last two years how things have slowed down on the site. I just have less-and-less time to do stuff that I used to and there are less-and-less people available to write about stuff at a steady click. I wasn't able to do the site the way that I wanted it anymore and was essentially still doing it because it was steady, background income for a while now. Dealing with all of the other shit about money the past few months and me having even less time than before has just made it difficult to really give a shit. I'm not going anywhere in regards to here, though. But anyway, thanks to all of you, I've always appreciated talking to you guys about kickboxing and look forward to still doing that, just not with a site to post shit to.

Eh, I'm not sure about ONE and money laundering. They're gaming the financial system like bigger companies do. Amazon has yet to turn a profit for a quarter but people keep valuating them higher and higher, their stock prices keep going up. The global economy right now is a house of cards and ONE is just working within that. Clear examples of money laundering were LEGEND shows, with each show costing like $3m, now Ruslan is in prison for exactly that. Yeah its a complete bubble for private companies. Cash is so cheap, yield is so low and so many investors are afraid of missing out on the next Facebook that they're willing to fund round after round of cash infusions and let startups balloon to billion dollar valuations without ever facing scrutiny of the public markets. In so far as each round is an upround (valuation goes up because people infused share at higher prices) the funds can just value those private shares they previously invested as having gone up even if they haven't actually realized cash gains. That drives even more ridiculous valuations. Chatri compared it to FB, but just look at just how much over-valued ONE is compared to FB was a decade ago. They're both getting billion dollar valuations even though ONE has none of FB's growth and 10-25% of FB's revenues at the time (not to mention worsening margins). Not only that, but ONE seems to have tapped into a particular type of goldmine. ONE claims it raises money from Sequoia Capital (the guys behind Apple, Google, Youtube), but its actually a sort of subsidiary fund that they got money from. Outside of the Silicon Valley VCs, Sequoia raised a fund targeted at APAC investment opportunities and has a separate management team + investor base. Imagine a bunch of Indians and Chinese terrified that they're gonna miss out on the next Alibaba or Flipkart and thus throwing hundreds of millions at anything that has a wiff of 'Asia'. Its among dumbest money out there Unrelated but found this interesting tidbit in the Glory info packet Kiksie downloaded. Glory SPorts' former name was K1 Global Holdings? Did Andurand name the company back when they were hoping to acquire K-1? So, Pierre was certain that he had bought K-1, as were the rest of the folks involved, that they just assumed that they had K-1 in the bag. Pierre showed up for a meeting with Mr. Kim in a private helicopter and Mr. Kim found it extremely disrespectful and called the deal off on the spot, then refused to ever negotiate again. They had to scramble to figure out what the hell their kickboxing organization was and, hey, there was Bas Boon and Cor Hemmers with their Golden Glory brand. Current GLORY will always say that there was no link between GLORY and Golden Glory, but remember when Bas Boon had posted "the story of GLORY" on the early GLORY website? It was a fantastical tale that told of two rogue men of the world forming a new kickboxing organization in GLORY: Pierre Andurand and Bas Boon. From my interactions with Mr. Kim he's obsessed with "respect" and has it in his head that he can be disrespectful to everyone else, but asking him a simple question or not following a strict, unknowable etiquette makes you an enemy.

This year WLF fights have been fun. And their 67kg tournament is quite alright I think. It's a shame what happened with the new company. Every time I read something about ONE FC finances I just can think about money laundering... I can't find any other reason. Eh, I'm not sure about ONE and money laundering. They're gaming the financial system like bigger companies do. Amazon has yet to turn a profit for a quarter but people keep valuating them higher and higher, their stock prices keep going up. I could easily see the story being true, but the article/tweets are a bit of a confusing read. There's a bunch of things given as statements of fact starting with Marcos Rosales filing a damages claim, but without documentary evidence or where that's not available knowing how these things came to be known, I can't separate facts from conjecture. Yep. Like I said, Zach has been chasing CSAC for years now. He was, at one time, considered an authoritative voice in the MMA sphere with some good ties in the industry. His politics have veered further and further to the right and he's decided to take on the corrupt CSAC for wasting taxpayers' money or something like that. It's a thing I tried to talk him out of years ago but he felt that he was onto something. I remember one of his big "AH-HA!" moments was proving that Andy Foster hired someone's friend's wife to a secretary job within the commission and he disclosed that she was getting paid like, $25,000 a year. It was really embarrassing and made everything he was doing feel like "well, let's give him a shot here, he's had good instincts before" to "this is really weird and inconsequential." Sometimes it feels more like "these damned Democrats" than anything else. But, like I said, I like Zach and he's been a pal for a long time now, so I've been trying to help him with this whole thing. I've not been able to find much, if anything. Just that something weird happened with the commission, there may have been a fighter that tested positive for HIV and CSAC bungled the test results, or not? I sincerely doubt it would do anything to Glory at this point because it was clearly the commission's fault. But we'll see. I don't see much coming of this.

Didn't know Remon Daalder was a co-founder of SuperPro Samui alongside Edwin van Os and Robbie Timmers. The Snake Trinity. What's funny is I really like Robbie, he's a nice guy. But what's the deal with GLORY talent ops folks going off the reservation? Remember when Robbie did a public interview as like a character witness for Buakaw against K-1? Now there's talk of Remon and Enfusion being snug. Maybe it's because they all managed and perhaps still manage these fighters, which is a real conflict of interest. Then again, Dutch kickboxing is full of that.

So, Zach Arnold at FO has been chasing this story for a while now. He's a good guy, but he does have an axe to grind with CSAC, mind you. He's been working on exposing them for negligence for years now, with mixed results. He uncovered a medical issue from the last GLORY show in LA involving the referee, Marcos Rosales, potentially being exposed to a fighter that tested positive for HIV. www.fightopinion.com/2018/10/06/marcos-rosales-hiv-exposure-california-mark-relyea-andy-foster/The documents in question are usually readily available to the public, but when CSAC disclosed them, they had most of the actual information redacted. Zach's belief is that they fumbled on a fighter's test and let him fight anyway while infected and are trying to cover it up. For what it's worth I've been following this around a bit and nobody will talk about it, but will confirm that something weird definitely went down at this show. If it really is as he describes it then it's protected information under HIPAA, which is our medical records privacy law we have in the US. Definitely weird if true.

Honestly, there are so many awesome fights at heavyweight and none of them involve Rico.
I'm not sure what that says anymore.
I love Londt, Wilnis, JBS, Benny, etc.
Most of these guys are super entertaining to watch and really good.

Huh, I never thought of it like that. I interpreted their latest statements more as denial/damage control and them having come to the realisation that they don't really have a leg to stand on in going after Glory. Most people are thinking that something is up with Daalder. He was never this good at his job before, and we know he knows all of the Enfusion office folks really well from It's Showtime.

Very happy for them. Also, RIP any Dutch ~names Enfusion has who aren't locked down for years into the future. Assuming Glory will keep signing them. Thought they might before already but if they have the tv popularity then even more so. Is it really RIP, though? GLORY signs Jaraya and it's like 'oh, wow.' Enfusion talk about how it's time for him to move on. GLORY signs Tavares and Enfusion announces that he 'had nothing left for him' in Enfusion at his weight class and that he can come back later. Remember when Enfusion booked Tavares vs. Badr and then Badr signed with GLORY and Enfusion went unhinged? Remember when Daniel Ghita was supposed to fight Tavares and then it fell through and Enfusion talked about lawsuits and blackmail? All of a sudden it's totally cool that GLORY signs one of their biggest stars and a guy that they have hyped up as a two-division champion? Nah, something is up. Either Enfusion is willingly letting GLORY walk all over them, they have an agreement or someone in GLORY's talent ops has dirt on someone in Enfusion.

You know shit is for real when you've got reporters claiming "around 15,000" and Glory sticks to 12,000 as their number.
