Another thing to mention, a promoter is not like a grocery clerk, where the job is always the same and there will always be someone to do it. If a fight happens its because the promoter put money on the line to make it happen and spent a lot of effort to handle logistics. 10 years ago Muay Thai had essentially zero English language promotions, the market was there, but nobody did it so the sport barely existed outside of Thai media. Similarly if you take away guys like Andurand the sport will be a shell of what it is now.

Im also gonna have to jump in and defend Glory. They have done a ton that I dont like, first and foremost banning Vakhitov and the other Russians due to politics. But with that aside they gave us Rico's legendary run, Zack Mwekasa the caterpillar man, Shilling's rise, fall and rage quit, 3 great memorable WW champs in Valtellini, Holzken, and Doumbe(#prayformurtel), RvR's amazing career, everyones favorite youtuber Gabriel Varga, and when it came time to sign a Thai they picked the #1 best choice they could have at the time in Petchpanomrung. Plenty of memorable ultra violence along the way too, e.g. Ezbiri vs Boynazarov. Imagine kickboxing without all that.

Man, Japan consistently creates so many world class guys in the 57-60kg range. They've got a golden age going on there.

Card is looking good. Is that the same Polish guy who got brutalized like a month ago? I hope not, brain needs time to heal.

Its funny this came up, I asked him who the most technically skilled Romanian was and he told me its Paraschiv, arguing that considering his height he is actually fighting 2 weight classes above his actual weight explaining his losses. Well, in a week and a half Paraschiv is going to K-1 to fight Noiri, so seems like we get the perfect test for his theory.

Does kickboxing have the infrastructure in order to actually have 249 high level pro fights in a year(Im guessing the stat is annual)? More fights are always good though, and I'd really like to see Petchtanong defend the kickboxing title but sadly a lot of ONE guys are inactive against their will.

Jelte fought well, his style is so similar to his teammate Yothin's. He needs to work on his defense though, it will come with experience.

You're right Cedric, you should go back to kickboxing where if you're really good you can make 15K per fight. I might be in the minority on this one but I think promoters should be given more respect, they are always portrayed as bad guys yet they are the only reason we can watch fights at all.

Paging lero and Shadess:
Does WLF publish fights in English? Trying to search for fights with zero results, including tournament finals.

Meksen is understandable enough because her division is empty but please dont take Jimmy. One of very few Euro bros good at Muay Thai. So many good fights for him still, and in his prime.
