It's way easier to look at this stuff when you take some steps back distancing yourself from it Btw, it's actually quite smart, saying that they will explain the situation soon (Buakaw's team). They are now getting flooded with supporters thinking up every single conspiracy theory possible trying explain to themselves why Buakaw left the arena so they can later just cherry pick the best one and feed it to them.

Not only him but also the self-appointed Glory online marketing manager Matazurka or Rollermanskunk or whatever that had the nerve to call everyone to support Glory Oklahoma event as a response to the outburst at Apollo Cook after the latter went full-retard and started insulting people for having legitimate concerns about Glory's business decisions writing Buakaw having doubts if he will be paid, probably wasn't even paid for previous fights, K-1 is finished etc. It's not really surprising.

It takes some serious talent to come up with something like this
Sherdog is really a magnificent forum.

It's frustrating though. Cause there really are guys that are getting screwed in fight business despite working their asses off and they deserve ths kind of support but will never get it. Meanwhile you have smart asses like the "Muay Thai God" that will happily play the angle of being poor mistreated kids who honestly just want to fight and represent their nation and all their fans but have evil promoters and managers getting in their way.

Just took a quick look around facebook. I'll only say this, some people really are idiots. Looks like Buakao will still have a fair share of support even in this.

@liverkickdotcom Interesting side note: Cor Hemmers and Bas Boon were in attendance at the K-1 World MAX Finals.
Hmmm.

Oh man. They really think people are such idiots to buy that?
No wait, on second thought I think there will be quite a few siding with Buakaw for an ..th time screwed by an evil promotion.

Was going to write this too. Already making rounds around the net "Glory should sign him(Kehl)".
Really hope he stays with K-1.
Btw, what's up with K-1 still using TopKing gloves and ring for this after the circus they pulled? Or was I just seeing things?

Unbelievable. Seriously, how fucking stupid can you be? Having in mind what Dave wrote I can't imagine all those sponsors remaining with Buakaw after this shit. What point were they trying to make exactly?

If that's indeed accurate we should expect it to at least look decently, right?

K-1 Thailand says that they are not connected to online betting sites. K-1 Thailand says that the changes they made to the format of the tournament will allow Buakaw to earn appearance fees that will add up to more than the prize money.
Thai PBS News. 7 October 2014. Buakaw assures that he has no connection with K-1 gambling.
Buakaw Banchamek's upcoming K-1 championship title fight has been complicated by problems after it was found that K-1 had published a link to an online betting site. This has made Buakaw worry that he might be wrongly perceived as being involved in conspiring with gamblers for this upcoming fight.
Buakaw, who has won the K-1 title twice before, said that there has never been this kind of betting on the finals of this tournament in the past, to the extent of having a website inviting fans to place their bets on the fights that will take place on 11 October 2014 in Chonburi. This might give people the impression that the organisers of this event are not transparent, & he fears that if he ends up losing the fight, fans might think that he conspired with gamblers to throw the fight.
Buakaw presented investigators with pictures of the website showing the betting odds as evidence, but he only filed a report in order for the police to be notified of this matter, so that the relevant authorities will monitor the situation. Buakaw assured that he will still participate in this fight in accordance with the contract that he has with K-1 Global. This is just hilarious even for kickboxing standards

Don't want to come across as racist or something but well, this comes from people who thought it was a good idea to put up a movie with Buakaw bullying a dog online and who were quite shocked apparently at the negative response to it so we shouldn't expect anything too intelligent from them I guess.

The butthurt is mightily strong in them. Good thing that they managed to notice finally that K-1 accepts online bets, took them at least a good couple of months though

And here you have it. Gotta figure it would have to be something like this.
Buakaw is still a great fighter and a huge name but at this point in time he's such a huge pain in the ass to deal with that if it would be up to me I would have to rethink it a 100 times if it's really worth all the trouble (btw, I thought that the relationship between K-1 and Buakaw's team was awkward for quite a while now, I mean, all those posts highlighting how Alin was refereeing the fights but also preparing the Chinese fighters for that event in China on their facebook page for example). And I wonder how many people will still buy the old "poor Buakaw, always getting screwed by shady promoters" story now that more and more seem to notice that that's not necessarily the case.

What's funny here, it's Buakaw and his team that are pretty much behind this event in Thailand. Doesn't make any sense. Wanting to make it in your own backyard and then bitch about it being held exactly there? Can't help but laugh to what nonsense money disputes lead.
