Some questions RE the GFC event in October....
Melvin is at HW for this tourney? I can't think of too many fighters who go up and down weight classes as "freely" as MM. Welter, Middle, Heavy. 205 must be feeling left out.
ESPN and FOX Sports have some association with the event. I'm guessing they are local affiliates. But.....
Golden Boy Promotions are also listed on the poster and they have a contract to supply Fox Sports with a certain amount of B or C class events per year. Is this really going to air in the US? Or will their be pro boxing on this card too?

Definitely a dearth of fresh or interesting matches at HW.
Perhaps Mirko will fight Rico?

They arrive en masse.
Their faces are disguised.
They are carrying weapons.
They hold the other combatant's relative as a hostage. At gunpoint.
One Balicha schmuck appears to appoint himself the de facto ref for the fight.
Balicha looks very keen on taking the fight to the ground, despite their beef being in the realms of stand up fighting and the showdown being held in a kickboxing gym (?).
All of the above stack the odds absurdly in Balicha's favour and yet, he still manages to get his rear handed back to him. I'm sure you see the coward wave his thugs in to attack when Shemsi is smashing him at the end of the fight.
This is absolutely vile.

Thats awesome. I've been wondering all week how Aerts was beaten and was relieved to discover thru watching this that it was 'only' a shin injury. I had horrible visions of a barely mobile Peter getting beaten around the ring by a guy who, let's be honest, would have been lucky to last a couple of rounds with him 5 years ago, let alone an Aerts at his peak.

I think it's a 2 fight deal and as you typed it's obviously not exclusive, down to the fact that he was touting himself to the UFC basically a month after he signed for K-1. I must admit I would have liked to have seen him sign in GLORY. He did sign to fight for GLORY to fight at GLORY.5-London, but that was quietly dropped from the menu.
Or did i Imagine that?

Do you think that K-1 saw that Bellator had signed Daley and said to themselves "Oh yeah! That's right, (chuckle) we got Daley to sign that napkin a couple of months back. We need to find him some fights!"
And, voila.

The way he reacted "GLORY....er...ummmm..." was almost as if he was mentally making sure that he didn't reveal something that he wasn't supposed to. First time I watched it I thought he was going to say something along the lines of "GLORY are...erm...going through some issues at the moment and we need to sit down and talk."
And he did add the "sit down and talk" bit at the end!
Probably just me reading too much into things.

I bet Nick Diaz is wishing his UFC contract ran out soon. He and Scott Coker made great music together.
I bet Nate Diaz is wishing he didn't renew his contract with the UFC. He and Scott Coker could make great music together.
They, along with Manhoef and Daley (Coker snagging them both on the same day, F'N awesome or what?), are perfect fits in the new Strikeforce...er.....I mean Bellator.

Albert Kraus got a win!
Who was the guy who grabbed Ivan Hippolyte (it was him wasn't it?) by the throat and pushed him back? He was lucky The Hydro is a proper pro, otherwise.......

If I kept files on individual fighters then I would confidently place Ben Saddik under the tab marked "DOUCHE".
The only thing I can surmise is that those two kicks at the beginning of the bout that Gerges landed were enough for JBS to realize he was in way too deep, way too early and at the earliest opportunity he pulled a "Hari". It likely would have happened at some stage in the bout, some types of fighters just seem to short circuit mentally when they come up against guys who have the relentlessness of a zombie and they kick bloody hard.

Wow, just spotted that BT Sport has got both GLORY.17 and LMS PPV live back to back.
I'm bloody glad I nabbed his signing in details (cheers, Firefox) when he logged in using my laptop to watch some football a while back.

2 million dirham I hope.
Otherwise, that Facebook post referring to GLORY's "coins" and "Arab money" makes more sense now.
