Talk to fighters and it's usually only the ones grandstanding about being a "clean fighter" that are all about this.
Most of the time that's about optics.
Most fighters are clean and are just worried about technique, cutting weight and being mentally ready. Drugs, especially the designer ones, become a problem at the top levels only because of how expensive the stuff worth doing is. So yeah, someone like Badr will be an issue, but we know what Badr's actual frame is and that he's a small guy. When he was 'retired' he looked more like he did in his early 20's as in super skinny.
Hell, when he was arrested and his home was searched they found drugs literally everywhere, bursting from the seams. You look at the guy and knew he was on the junk.

Not sure I've ever really seen any fans glamour for testing in kickboxing, so yeah promotions are silly to opt-in to anything extra at least. Commissions could do something little on their own okay but let that be it. I'll come out and say it: drug testing is fucking stupid and a waste of time. This isn't fucking Rocky where someone is being pumped with superhuman drugs that makes them unstoppable, this is real life and most of this shit is to help with recovery or the impact of aging (lower testosterone levels, more tired, etc.). A four-year ban is fucking INSANE and literally cuts the knees off of careers. So now these guys are added to the list with fucking Ismael Lazaar (seriously, look at that ROID FREAK) of people who got fucked by this testing.

Wasn't there some mega shady stuff about Ristie's gloves or am I imagining that? He cut his gloves around the thumb so he could slip his thumb out. This allows for better grip, harder punches, etc. He claimed it was his trainer, but then no, but then... His trainer got banned from GLORY, so he then said he wouldn't fight without him. So he hasn't fought for fucking years over this and nobody has touched him. So, instead of just taking a punishment, he literally pissed away the prime of his career.

Trump just wants to make JMMA Great Again.
Too bad he wants to build a wall around the entire country to do it first, claiming that fishing towns need protection from Godzilla.

What's funny to me is that there are still people debating if MayTen was a 'work' or not.
It was an exhibition, which we all know how those usually go, where Tenshin was ping-ponging around and Mayweather made $9m, at least. He at least pulled some shit threatening to no-show unless he could win or look strong and most likely there was some business stuff involved.

So, as it's always something...
Someone tried to steal the domain from me. Not just "oh, it expired, I'll buy it," but literally went to the hosting company posing as me, then transferred it to another company, then another, then ANOTHER.
ICANN, the domain hosting oversight people, saw this as suspicious behavior and ear-marked it as a domain with issues, opening up a ticket for it. So there was a whole load to shit getting the domain back, but it's back now.
My god. Weirdest $15 I ever spent.

Then never marry and have kids. You will have absolutely no free time at all. Sleep time will also decrease almost by half if you have kids. Unless you marry a rich woman and can afford 24 hours nanny or something like that. Hence the death of LiverKick.

I've asked multiple times to just transfer it to my control.
I've gotten the process started.

My god.
So, a big part of why I was always uncomfortable with my site is after I originally left SBN/HeadKickLegend to start LiverKick it was a part of the MiddleEasy Network. Don't remember it? Not many else do, either! MiddleEasy is currently owned by some Russians who clearly aren't great at English and it's weird/embarrassing that at one time it was a bigger MMA blog that I was the Managing Editor of.
Anyway.
The former owned of MiddleEasy hosted LK for years, I think because he felt bad that the promises he made never came true. A part of the issue is that the domain is technically in his name/under his control.
So, he let it expire.
I explained that my hosting that I've paid for is good until June and I promised I'd leave the site up. I'm more than willing to pay to re-up it. So, I did.
On December 7th.
It's Christmas here and it still says expired.
So, if I hadn't of called it quits when I did, I would have had a fucking MONTH LONG OUTAGE FOR NO REASON.

He might just being following Adesanya's example. Robin already went there, did that. Of course UFC is the natural path for him, if he has some skill in grappling. Maybe he can make the UFC 65.8KG weightclass, that's heavier than Glory 65 KG limit. It may be the perfect weightclass for him.I can see him beating the crap out of Holloway. Not sure about his takedown defense. In the 70KG limit the wrestlers may be a little bit to much for him. Wish him good luck Yeah, 70kg is gonna be rough for him. It's always been a wrestler-heavy division. I hope that he does well, but this is another blow for kickboxing.

Damn, hope there's a way for the public to chip in at some point I don't mean to be that guy, but spending $20,000 on that is ill-advised. There's a reason why any attempt at doing this before has failed and it has to do with the sport being niche, it not being worth the time and effort and that the sport is so fragmented and weird that coming up with complete, accurate stats is difficult.

So apparently RvR is a full time MMA fighter now? Lol. They really couldn't pay him enough, apparently. I assume he'll end up in UFC shortly. If they took Saki no problem RvR has way more of an upside.

I mean, it is in their contracts that you can't accept outside fights without approval.
It does make sense if he won to just maybe dock his pay or something the next time he fights.
