Seems like a bunch of guys got ranked at 65kg for wins at 62.5. I'm not really a fan of that personally. Agreed. If you throw them in there, odd for Koya Urabe not to be in there previously. Also, Kimura got starched by Nishikawa so no reason for him to be on any rankings.

Additions to the card! - Kaew Weerasakrek vs Noiri Masaaki - Takeru vs. Buvaisar Paskhaev - Hiramoto Ren vs Umar Paskhaev
Also, Gonnapar vs Wei Rui has been announced but is missing from the opening post. So that's four superfights. Both Paskhaevs are from team Kyshenko. I hope Kyshenko jumps the tournament winner. He can chop off an arm or something to make 70kg again.
Edit: Forgot Taiga vs Koji, that makes 5.
edit:Forgot Ozawa vs Saikyo Haruma that makes 6! Most stacked card they've done since Champions. 14 maincard fights

Interesting. Not sure but did(n't) K-1 Global label the 95kg one as HW? So far they haven't trampled on each other on the weights. They could do 95kg as HW (possibly invite Kryklia as previous champ if he still even wanted to make 95kg?) or 95kg+ is still not been done by either. K-1 Japan has continued to make no mention of K-1 Global and its events. They're almost certainly not recognizing Kryklia as a champion. Presuming its openweight for now.

K-1 Japan's doing a 67.5kg tournament in September... and a heavyweight tournament in November.
Oh gosh, I can't see that going well.
Also Miyata was apparently impressed by Vitor Saravia and suggested he might want him back in 55kg.

Fun event! Also, worth noting that apparently this was the #1 ranking show on Abema TV with 950K viewers. That's nearly double the last event so apparently the Takeru pull is real. Takeru quite literally has balls of steel, I thought there was no way he was going to be able to fight after that, but he still managed to win by brutal KO. I don't even know who Terado Nobuchika but it was really sad to see him turn up the heat and put pressure back on Kubo for much of the second round just to have it all slip away in the last couple of seconds. Very sad for Terado. He's one of the pioneers of this weight class in Japan and is 37 years old. Been a Krush regular since the first Krush event. It looked like he was on the verge of one of his classic comebacks, but Luigi Kubo cut those dreams short.

Post fight presser on now. This tournament is apparently getting an hour long broadcast on Fuji TV in addition to their TV Tokyo spot. If I understand right, its an expansion of the Fujiyama Fight Club late night show that RIZIN has. Takeru acting in as guest commentator.
Just a confirmation of previously announced news, but next April will be the last K-1 Japan show in Yoyogi for a while. June, August, November events will be held in the Saitama Super Arena community center (roughly 8K seating) and will be positioned as "Road to Saitama" events leading to next March.

Talk about being thrown to the wolves. The expectation of Japan is on the shoulders of this 18 year old.
EDIT: Tenshin in the audience. Just shook hands with Hiramoto

Is Urabe entering the ring wearing a Jigsaw mask? I suspected that they were sneaking Koya in there under the mask to ensure the belt is with the family.

Hinata asked to be entered into the 70kg World Tournament. He promised to become champion in 2017 and said that he sacrificed everything he had with REBELS to come here. Praised Matsukura for standing in there till the end as well.
