Libertarianism rots your brain, really. The more you think along that line, the sooner you end up in a very funny ideological place due to the fundamental absurdity of the whole idea.
This tweet is a typical example. Utter, utter creep.
I'm really glad that I stayed in that gas chamber for no more than a few years.
Well, you might say that a few years is way too long, and you're probably right. But I was young. These people aren't.

The survival rates with Covid-19 have dramatically increased mostly because of the clear improvement in the treatment.
But you can get that benefit only when you are at a hospital.
If the hospitals are overrun, your survival rate will quickly drop down below the spring level.
Half-assed measures can't save the hospitals.
Brussels decided to close gyms/sports clubs yesterday.
YESTERDAY?
Had they been open until YESTERDAY?
I just don't understand it.

And the measures - or to be more precise the attitude in the UK continues to make little sense to me.
I don't know how many times I've said that the UK is THE leading country in all of epidemiology, virology and immunology. Yet with the exception of the vaccine development, it's literally one of the worst countries in terms of up-to-dateness on the science.
What the hell is Oxbridge there for?
I won't even go into specifics. It's just bizarre.

We suck so fucking hard at this.
I know. This virus is absolutely formidable. What an extremely smoooth-talking little motherfucker. He can get inside virtually anyone. So smooth.
But come on. Did you really have to have that home party three weeks ago? What did you do that for? For fun?
Is that all you could think of when you want to have fun? Has it ever occurred to you that 2020 is very clearly a very special year? A year that you probably should live with a different perspective?
Like doing something different? Trying something that you never did, instead of holding the same goddamn boring stupid house party that you held five times in 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013 and 2012?
Read a book or something for a change, you dolt.

"Open up!" "There are arguments on both sides on masks!" "This is a free country!" "Vaccine!" "Killer therapeutics!" "Now!" "BEFORE THE ELECTION DAY!" "AAAAAAAAhhhhhhhhhhh!"

Spain has been such a godawful mess since Day One in this pandemic, and that clearly has a LOT to do with the disunity among the regions.
Belgium has a similar problem, although not as bad as in Spain.
You do need the national unity in times like this.

Should Democrats pack the court?
LOL, do you need to ask me, knowing my temperament?
Of course they should.
A minority rule is not a democracy. America is not s Rwanda.

We only have a finite number of doctors and nurses.
You can add 10,000 beds if you want, but who's going to take care of them?
Why the fuck do those people keep talking as if this were just a SimCity simulation?
Yes, in that game, if you build a hospital, you magically produce doctors and nurses out of thin air.
But that's not how things work in the real world.
Unbelievable.

"Sucker-punched"? By whom? By Covid? It's been two full months since this: And it's been seven weeks since this and this: Yes, I'm the asshole who quotes himself, but stop lying. FYI, I have to update that number "300" in the last quote to 700 now.

You want to bus in health workers from other states, like we did for New York back in the spring?
Look at the map above and tell me how plausible that is. What "other states?"
Maine?
Hawaii??

As usual, Germany is pretty much alone in the middle of the sea hanging in there, but I doubt they will be able to hold it much longer...

Mentally ill people:
This stupidity is why they will lose big in the House races, and hopefully the Senate races too.

It seems that EVERYONE in my Dallas neighborhood either has already voted or will vote soon.
It's a very blue and even pink neighborhood, but I'd guess only half of them voted in 2016, tops.
No, I still don't believe Texas will flip, but it's extremely hard and in fact nearly impossible to get this state right for a number of reasons. It's just very different from most other states in MANY things.
We'll see what will come out of the box.
