Of course you'd be definitely calling this a coup if it were happening in Chad or Congo, you arrogant fools.
This third-world shithole is your own fucking country. Deal with it.

...says this Republican slime after signing an amicus brief to overturn Pennsylvania’s election result.
He kept saying that the election was stolen, and now "un-American" them for fucking believing him.
There might need to be a second Civil War to take care of these slimes.

What I want people to pay attention to is the way those Republican blowhards keep peddling all that baseless nonsense in their "objection" to the certification process as if it were the most normal thing to do. It hasn't even been 24 hours since one of the most extremely embarrassing, sorry episodes in the entire history of USA, and since they had to wear gas masks and hide underneath desks as those MAGA snowflakes were vandalizing the capitol.
Your representative, someone who is supposed to represent you, is no different from a high school classmate of yours who sends you a link to an article that says vaccines are part of the George Soros conspiracy that makes you permanently impotent.
Everyone lives in their echo chamber, and any fact outside it plainly doesn't exist to them. Those politicians are often even less immune to conspiratorial thinking than your uncle.
And when the society has sunk that low, frankly there is no recovering from that. But I can't tell you what the end game will be like.

You might say, "What else could he have said, though?", but Biden sounded ridiculous in that speech that he gave.
Unfortunately he is and will continue to be out of his depth.

I repeat: Those people are NOT "working-class white Americans." They are pampered, spoiled, dumb, ridiculous middle-class clowns with too much time on their hands who were brought up by their lovely middle-class parents believing they were special snowflakes.
This woman is a very typical example, for whom getting maced by a cop when she was going to bring about a "revolution" is an earth-shatteringly shocking event.

Why there were so few cops there to guard the capitol, despite the fact that MAGA and Q were saying for months that they were coming, and that there was a fucking rally to practically invite them as guests, is a perfectly legitimate question.
I have no doubt in my mind that some of the cops are sympathizers who didn't make much effort to stop them, but they were too few to be able to stop it anyway. Logistically impossible.
There are some people whose heads should leave their bodies over this.

Both Tuberville and this Facebook-uncle clown represent Alabama, a shithole state. Sorry but not sorry to you Alabamans. You keep voting for shithole politicians, and deserve no more than being called a shithole.
...followed by zero evidence, needless to say. Don't even bother to go down the thread.

I've been saying for years that the Union and Confederacy should've just parted ways. Lincoln should've just let the Confederacy rot in hell on their own.

It is a hell of a thing to see the far-right "leaders" who kept inciting people for months and years to "take it to the heart of the Soros machine" and crap like that suddenly tag the crowd who ACTUALLY stormed the capitol because they were fucking explicitly encouraged for months by the very "leaders" to do so "Antifa masquerading as MAGA" and call the whole thing a "false flag operation."
The nerves. And the cowardice.
They talk the talk all the time, but never, ever walk the walk. The fools who actually walked the walk took the selfies and upped them online, so that it will be easy for the FBI to come and knock on their doors. Meanwhile those "leaders" say, "Don't be fooled by fake news, it may be a false flag op, and those people may be actually Antifa."
They wouldn't even step out of their huge house because they are old, have pre-existing conditions and are scared of Covid-19, while being fiercely anti-lockdown and anti-mask online.
Those grifters. The people whom you should hate for real are always in a safe place.

I called the way the new cases "bounced back" in the UK (and to a lesser extent the Netherlands) "disturbing," but the way they have skyrocketed in the UK since then is beyond disturbing. It doesn't seem that the new variant is the only cause; The rates are just through the roof beyond the prevalence of the new variant. What the hell is going on over there? It's extremely worrisome. gols? Sorry I am slow replying to you misc. You rant too fast
To be honest, I am not totally sure what is going on. My guess is that this is the result of Covid-fatigue - people just stopped being worried about it and stopped being careful. Nine months of government's terrible mismanagement and terrible messaging will do that to people it seems. Also schools seem to be the biggest hotbed for transmissions.
I don't leave the house much these days, but when I do I see a lot of people behaving like the pandemic is over.

I can't help but notice, your rants these days are a bit more angry and judgemental than what I remember from years back. I know a lot happened in the world. But still.... Is it what's happening to the world? Or is it personal?
Maybe I shouldn't ask. You can tell me to F off if you like. :-)

No, no, you should never feel obliged to reply to my rants. Whenever you feel like it, and I honestly wouldn't mind you just ignoring it. With that being said, thank you for the reply! Yes, I see Covid fatigue everywhere. Even here in Japan, although I fail to see any justification for that "fatigue," outside the hospitality sectors. So, you know, of course in the UK and many other countries. Of course. Understandable. But this is obviously a very serious situation. I did some back-of-the-envelope calculation based on the available data (which are probably a bit old), and the conclusion was that the NHS must have been already overwhelmed. And that was several days ago. I know it has been enhanced/upgraded for Covid-19 since the spring at least, but the fact that it's still standing is quite frankly amazing. I suspect you have to be really, really, really sick to be admitted in the hospital now. I also suspect that people who do NOT have Covid-19 are dying already because they couldn't be treated now. That's a form of triage. Those are not the kind of numbers that the NHS should be able to deal with. Hell, even the German health care system would start malfunctioning with such large volumes of patients.
