Both Tuberville and this Facebook-uncle clown represent Alabama, a shithole state. Sorry but not sorry to you Alabamans. You keep voting for shithole politicians, and deserve no more than being called a shithole.
I can't help but notice, your rants these days are a bit more angry and judgemental than what I remember from years back. I know a lot happened in the world. But still.... Is it what's happening to the world? Or is it personal?
Maybe I shouldn't ask. You can tell me to F off if you like. :-)
Well, I guess that's because I'm angry. These things are all so predictable, but happen anyway. Every goddamn thing. But as for that specific rant, of course I said that while being 120% sure that no one from Alabama would read it. I'm as much of a coward as I ever was.

This perfectly captures the dangerously delusional nature of the whole MAGA movement.
I'm sure that this woman is 100% sincere in her astonishment that the police as an organization turned *against* them for real.

People, including Congresspeople, are talking about the "25th amendment" to effectively remove Donald Trump, but it's a fucking joke. To all intents and practical purposes, the 25th doesn't even really exist. It's not a thing no matter what law professors told you.
It's *possible* to impeach Trump, again, if not to *remove* him, and they should for the sole reason of tainting his presidency even further. "Twice-impeached" would be a hell of a sticker. But they probably won't.
What's likeliest to happen over the next two weeks in the White House is that everyone but Trump and his few minions will form a sort of collective presidency/regency and do the work, effectively removing him as president.
But you know what, that wouldn't be very different from how things have been ANYWAY. I hate to play the "I used to know him" card again, but I have seen Donald work, and he never actually *works*. But he calls everything that he does "work." His definition of "work" is probably drastically different from yours.
And I have no reason to believe that he changed his stance as the POTUS.

Of course this Frenchman is rubbing it in.
But America deserves to have it rubbed in by a Frenchman.

So much of boomer politics comes from the fact that those boomers have been upset for 30 years that the fall of the Berlin Wall and Soviet Union didn't end history at all.

At least you guys reading this thread should understand this guy is NOT an outlier.
But most people don't get it, as is evident with the replies in the Twitter thread. They think all of those people are unemployed lower-class hooligans.

These people seem to never entertain the possibility - the certainty as far as I'm concerned - that some of those Representatives genuinely, genuinely believe Trump actually won the election.
Yes, politicians are always worried about the reelection, or getting primaried. But they often simply act on their beliefs. And you can't tell if someone is a conspiracy theory nuts if you only "interviewed" them or talked to them for 15 minutes without knowing how to sniff out those people, which I'm a bit of an expert on.

Another misguided salt-of-the-earth working-class white American.
"Washington DC protests"
But whatever. Just L-O-L. Cogensia is actually a good company.

This is exactly the Donald that I know. That's why I find the MAGA crowd absolutely hilarious.
And that latest video clip reminded me of when he had to greet an Israeli man that he absolutely hated (because the guy had made fun of Donald in a speech at a conference) in order to ask him for funding. The same body language and stiltedness.

Another working-class white American. The owner of Becky's Flowers in Midland Texas.
Can't even imagine in a not-so-distant future she will be behind bars. Talk about voluntary confession.

You laugh at it and enjoy it and all, but a VERY high percentage of the nincompoops who frequent 4chan/8kun/Q FB groups etc. are Europeans, usually above-working-class ones who are reasonably fluent in English.

I sometimes think we should hold the Japanese accountable for contaminating the world with their national pastime of anonymous shitposting. Much of the harmful crap that has led to this sorry state we are in originated from the early Japanese online culture = futaba channel = 2chan, the mother of 4chan and 8kun.

I know it has been enhanced/upgraded for Covid-19 since the spring at least, but the fact that it's still standing is quite frankly amazing. I suspect you have to be really, really, really sick to be admitted in the hospital now. I also suspect that people who do NOT have Covid-19 are dying already because they couldn't be treated now. That's a form of triage. Those are not the kind of numbers that the NHS should be able to deal with. Hell, even the German health care system would start malfunctioning with such large volumes of patients. Many hospitals are overwhelmed now. The news is full of stories of ambulances sitting outside with the patients stuck in them.
The outrage about how we got here is very much lacking though. Instead, people have decided it's time for... more clapping on the doorsteps! I don't think the NHS staff are taking it in such good spirits this time round.
The media are mostly treating it like it's some completely unavoidable natural disaster. As you have pointed out before in this thread, it's North Korea style.
