It goes without saying that my arguments against Marjorie Taylor Greene's Twitter ban - or to be more precise, against the *jubilantly affirmative attitude for the ban* - which I posted before are in principle applicable to Joe Rogan's @ Spotify.

When she's right she's right. American white nationalists' delusion about Russians never fails to amuse me.

I repeatedly fail to understand the gossipy/power struggle part of UK politics, but do know a thing or two about British infrastructure and policies. So I can immediately tell this politician is one of those insufferable jag-offs who say anything flashy to impress people standing/sitting in front of them.
Digital currencies are already massively deregulated in the UK. Does this guy have any idea what he's talking about?

Italian politics is so incredibly fascinating. You sense every hint of the old Roman politics, except in a polity that is neither grand nor very important to the world.

Haha. Stuff like this kind of reminds me why I stopped torturing my mind by reading about such debates for too long.
"Neil young tries to censor Joe Rogan because he disagrees with him" That leads to: no, he's asking them to choose between them. Leads to: That's asking for censorship....
So I guess we first have to get out of the way what we're actually discussing and what points either side is actually trying to make......
I mean: is Neil Young just disagreeing or is he angry about the misinformation Rogan is facilitating by his podcast. But where lies the boundary between the two?
What's Neil Young being a hippy got to do with this? Well, obviously so you can point out he's not allowed to use any corporate entity to have his way. He's also a grumpy old man, but I guess that doesn't fit the point they're trying to make.
"we need to trust people to make up their own mind"
I wish I could agree. This whole pandemic kind of put a dent in my trust in that.
Anyway, Nils Lofgren also wants his music removed from Spotify. Let's finish with something beautiful :-)

I expected us to react to the pandemic as horribly as we did, it really was par for the course as far as I'm concerned, but what has surprised me is those Liberty Warriors' utter inability to articulate their position, namely answers to the simple question of what their definition of "liberty" is and also why their arbitrary concept of "liberty" should be prioritized over public health measures, and all they have given me so far is childish tautology, total non-answers. I knew they would bitch and moan about everything, but honestly thought they would know better than to resort to fucking tautology to justify their stance. Alas.
As for Spotify, I also think their biggest problem isn't even platforming people like Joe Rogan and their grand masturbation festivals - I fail to see the point of de-platforming Rogan there even as a purely symbolic act - but the way they treat musicians, plain and simple. It's a shit company with or without Joe Rogan, and should be treated as such. These companies are all ridiculously exploitative crap merchants.

I think it's safe to say at this point that an immunocompromised individual like this, most likely someone with advanced HIV, is responsible for Omicron. No evidence, but Occam's razor would bet on that.

A couple of days ago I drove past a house that had some graffiti on it: "VAX=GENOCID". That pretty much sums that whole group up, doesn't it? Fuck basic spelling, or thinking for that matter, JuSt DoNt MeSs WiTh My FrEeDoM!

We always have in our society a fair share of that kind of confused little narcissists, but what makes their daft contrarianism even worse than usual in this case of Covid is - other than the fact that this is a fucking public health issue - that a high dose of *fear* is involved in their attitude. People tend to think those people are just "reckless", that they don't give a shit. Well, yes, and no. Many are and don't, but many aren't and actually do. The latter kind have been frantically trying to play down the pandemic largely due to fear, and I'm talking about both health-related fear and more importantly *social* fear.
Fear can even make a rational individual extremely erratic and unstable. Think of what it can do to little bitches who have this pathological need to feel special.

I'm against de-platforming/cancelling Joe Rogan, on both pragmatic and ideological grounds, but whoever is willing to carelessly play with public health issues like he has deserves all the shit coming in their direction, and even more. Fuck them. He really should suffer a lot more, and no, I'm not contradicting myself by saying that.

I don't think even American liberals truly understand how batshit crazy it is that the biggest news channel beams out anti-vaxx messages tirelessly week in week out on TV. There is no other country like that unless I'm simply unaware of some tin-pot little country somewhere like that. It looks like a total freak show from outside, and that's because it truly is.

When they say "natural immunity", what "natural" means is exactly the same as what it does when a chakra yoga instructor in Berkeley, CA who charges you $450 a month for bullshit and only buys and eats organic talks about how we all should go "natural".
In other words, it's total nonsense, and it's hilarious that most of those anti-vaxx contrarians absolutely despise "hippies" like that.
The naturalness bias really is a thing, both on the left and center and right, and it's one of the stupidest biases out there.
The studies keep showing that you need to get really, really sick to acquire better-than-vaccinated immunity through infection. So, yeah, go natural.

We are now at the "everything is a lockdown if you think about it" stage. I mean, you laugh, but you'd *have to* go through this stage in his situation. There's no way back. That's the path this ghoul chose.
