When Zelensky's approval rate was hovering around 20-25%, no one expected him to become such a competent wartime leader. His prowess in language, as an actor/comedian, obviously helped, but it's still highly impressive. I mean, a lesser one would go, "YES, we destroyed their flagship with OUR MADE-IN-UKRAINE missiles, those beauties! Now Putin knows who he's messing with! Slava Ukraini!" no matter what. But Z doesn't:

So we still have to deal with the morons who think SARS-CoV-2 viruses travel in the air on their own with no vehicles, and that people in high-masking-rate societies like South Korea keep wearing masks while eating, drinking, talking over lunch/dinner, and at home?
I'll just ignore anyone like that from now on, no exception. I'm not talking about this thread, but there are few things in this world that are stupider than the "mask debate" and the stupid contrarians who seem to think there's still anything in it.

It's nothing more cringeworthy than to see young people find some anomalous data and have their contrarian light bulb go ding!
You know they will start arguing that the Earth is flat any minute. Or that masks are a fascist government plot.
I guess I'm really old.

I know you are new to this whole Russia thing, but about half of the bluecheck people you are following and quoting are Yeltsin apologists or plain idiots.

About 60% of the Latinos that I know in Texas are pretty reactionary, misogynistic, racist bastards, about as bad as the stereotypical redneck Cowboys. So that Hispanic "rightward shift" narrative sounds kind of weird. Maybe some of them used to vote Dem as some kind of a habit, but I don't think they "shifted" to anything.

Of one million Covid deaths in the US, roughly speaking:
25% - Ancestral strain and its minor variants
40% - Alpha
20% - Delta
15% - Omicron
Hearing the popular narrative, you'd think Omicron's share is 2% or something.

As if we needed more evidence that suppressed homosexuality is the strong undercurrent in the rightwing world.
"The End of Men"
Should've been titled "Horny As Fuck" instead.

I asked for a lecture on manhood, and this dude showed up. I claimed a refund.

I asked for a lecture on white masculinity, and this dude showed up. Are they ripping me off or what.

See?
Like I said, this whole Russia-UK love-hate stuff is really bizarre, as if they were still living in the 19th century. Even the Middle East moved on a long time ago; They don't even think about Britain nowadays.
Who cares, I know, but the two clearly do *a lot* about each other for no clear reasons!

OK, I mean, I do know why they still care a lot about each other. I pretended that I didn't, because, well, I could explain it to you, but it would be a long hideous history lecture, and I would probably end up offending both Russians and Britons. So, yeah, it is what it is.

People tend not to understand how much stuff the West has been sending to Ukraine since the start of the war. It *is* a proxy war. Ukraine War Is Depleting America’s Arsenal of DemocracyWestern allies face a choice: Send more weapons to Kyiv or save their stockpiles for their own defense. www.bloomberg.com/opinion/articles/2022-04-14/russia-ukraine-war-u-s-is-running-out-of-weapons-aiding-kyivAnd no one is tracking those weapons. I predict that those unaccounted-for weapons will continue to destabilize the world for literally decades, causing conflicts everywhere, and many of them will end up in the hands of far-right militias in Europe. Ukraine is infamous for "unregistered" arm merchants and traffickers to begin with. This is one huge "aftermath" problem that we will have to deal with. Many in the EU - even some Poles - are already panicking as a matter of fact.

This has gone viral in Russia, but I gotta tell you, the dude is a typical armchair general.
I don't know how you say "easier said than done" or "you fucking wish it were that easy" in Russian, but sheesh. Does he really think that the generals are *such* idiots? It's wild that a SOF guy is so wide off the mark as to what the Russian military is objectively capable of.

If this is just his way to demand the formal declaration of war and national mobilization for total war, well, he should just say so in plain Russian instead of that video game screed.
