I guess this is relevant too.

I hope you now understand why I was railing so hard and even randomly at times against the US Supreme Court. It's a thoroughly undemocratic shit institution, and as long as the *appointed lawyers* have such a stupidly huge *political* power over the nation, the whole polity is a joke.

Pretty convincing arguments on where Putin might draw the line for a "win".

BA.2.12.1, which is going to be dominant in the US soon (and probably in much of the world eventually), seems very bad. Significantly higher infectiousness and immune escape even than *BA.2's*, which are significantly higher than original Omicron's (BA.1), which are significantly higher than Delta's...
BA.2.12.1 seems very likely to have been made in America too. Thanks for your gift, America!

Frankly he's an idiot if he thinks this war has shown those things for the first time or something. They were pretty clear in the recent US wars as well. It's just that Ukraine is much more urban than the Middle East, and has a real (and big) military force with some combat experience, which made it even harder for the invaders.

I'm sure you can't wait for the big event, right? What am I talking about? Why, of course I'm talking about Moscow Victory Day Parade. What else? This is a very cool bingo card for MVDP 2022!

Seriously, half of the reason for the Russian military's existence is May 9 Victory Parade. For instance, you will ever see the newest hippest baddest Russian super-tanks T14 Armata only at the Parade, because... they most likely wouldn't actually work in an actual battlefield. Or because they don't even exist, except in a hollowed-out form for the parade.

Why the M777's are likely to devastate the Russians:

Nope. You don't get it, Daniel. They needed to make one thing clear in public.
It's the same old NYT headline doing a bit of sensationalism. EVERYONE knows that the US intel has been assisting Ukraine in all kinds of ways. But the "US officials" didn't actually say to the NYT specifically that they help Ukrainians target Russian generals, while they did say that they had NOTHING to do with Valery Gerasimov, the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, getting nearly blown up into pieces near Izyum the other day. They wanted to make that perfectly clear. That was the main purpose of their comment.
The US and USSR had this tacit agreement that prohibited them from 1) targeting the highest-ranking officers/civilian leaders on the other side; 2) talking in public about nuking each other.
I've been told several times that that agreement has been alive and well, between the US and Russia now. Gerasimov is of course a highest-ranking officer, and assisting Ukraine to attempt to kill him would've been a clear breach of the contract. The "US officials" had to make it clear that they did NOT do that.
And YES, that's presumably a big reason why when the Russian nutjobs talk about nuking the West on Channel One, it's never New York or Washington D.C. but instead... London.
That's hardly the only reason for the Russians' London obsession, but is a big one. London is a sort of a punching bag for them, instead of a real person that you wouldn't want to start a fight with.

Same old Channel One insanity, but I'm fucking offended, man. Since when is gachi-muchi/Billy Herrington "Western"? It's a 100% Japanese sub-sub-subculture/meme!

It's hilarious, though, that surprisingly many of the things that Russian propagandists cite as proofs of the "Western decadence" are actually Japanese.
You're welcome, Men of the West.

The more you learn about the terrains of Ukraine and how Ukraine and Russia are fighting over there, the more you appreciate the super-human tenacity of the Soviet and German soldiers who fought on those same terrains with the equipment and weapons available back then. No long-range artillery, no guided missiles, no nothing. Just a lot of tanks and infantry with rifles.
They were clearly made of something different. Not the same species. I mean, most of the Germans were speed/meth heads munching on the "chocolate", but still.
