Let me start by saying I'll be supporting my German roots, but I'll try not to get hotheaded if things aren't looking up for Germany and maintain the sportsmanlike attitude of "may the best team win!"

Either way, bit of a brutal World Cup opener as Russia defeats Saudi Arabia 5:0.
Let's see if Saudi Arabia will fare a bit better in their next game seeing how the Ramadan is over after today. I'm afraid they're just in over their head in this group, though.

i actually do pull for Mexico and Germany when the US isn't in it or gets eliminated.
