It didn't even occur to me that with 46 scheduled fighters, some might drop out due to injury.
Let's hope that's the extent of it.

Quick Notes
THE GOOD + Awesome looking opening ceremony + Mostly close, competitive fights. + Takeru + Takei Yoshiki + Noiri Masaaki vs. Jordann Pikeur + Kaneko Akihiro vs. Kumura Shuhei + No "when-in-doubt-give-decision-to-hometown-fighter" situations + I liked the "Japan vs. The World" theme, they should do more with themes as it adds to the narrative + Kido's VTR (though it came to my understanding some people don't like art so they'll have it as a negative)
#HatersGonnaHate
THE BAD - A bit similar to Glory yesterday: too many decisions. At least we've gotten some extra rounds with mostly clear decisions as opposed to the split decision fest we got yesterday, but it's still too many. Again not really any one to blame for that. It just didn't happen. - A crazy amount of groin shots during the prelims. There were like 6 of them in 3 out of the 4 prelims. While it's not intentional, I at least in part blame the fighters: when you fight orthodox and your opponent is a southpaw (or vice versa) there is a higher chance of lowkicks hitting your opponents groin. If that happens once, abandon the lowkicks to the back leg and to the inside leg. It's not going to work for you in this fight. - Some technical issues i.e. random channel switching during the early portion of the event. - While I have no problem with the length of the K'Festa cards due to their quality and once a year frequency, I would still say less is more: trim out some of the flab and keep the amount of fights between 15-18. That way it's still a bigger than usual event, but it's a bit more streamlined.
I really liked K'Festa 2, but the first portion of the main card definitely wasn't as good as the Japan vs. The World portion. It had too many decisions, too few knockdowns/KO's and too few upsets. However, its highlights were really high i.e. Kaneko vs. Kumura .
Also, there may be portions of the card (mainly during the first half) I have to rewatch where I potentially missed some good stuff due to being half asleep and barely registering what was going on. I didn't really think of the logistics and forgot the K'Festa cards start a lot earlier than the regular ones so in the last 48 hours I got about 3 hours of sleep.
Either way I had a great time and wanna thank to everybody who joined. I hope lero has some fun stories about his experience after he gets some rest.

Either way I had a great time and wanna thank to everybody who joined. I hope lero has some fun stories about his experience after he gets some rest. Well, nothing extremely fun... I was just so happy because is my first time in Japan, came here for work and the K' Festa happened to be two days after I finished the work. So is one of the best coincidences of my life. Saitama is more than one hour from the place I'm staying in downtown Tokyo (I checked and the RISE place was closer) so one local girl I was working with told me that I could buy the tickets in the 7 Eleven... So I was navigating through japanese menus but didn't find anything. One guy at the convenience store told me to try in the Lawson store. I had success there. The trip to Saitama was smooth. Tokyo's public transportation is amazing. Last time I was in Europe (Germany and Holland) I got lost like 3 times in those trains because is so confusing. But in Japan (China, Taiwan and Korea also) the public transportation is easy. I woke up like 11AM local time, so I missed the whole preliminary card. Glad to hear it was nutshot festival. I arrived just when the first part of the main card started after buying a K-1 shirt and a Taro-Kun keychain. There was a guy in his 50s at my right and the one in my left was like in his middle 20s, I was surprised because most of the people were in their middle-late 20s. I thought the fanbase was going to be older than that. I guess that's a good thing. Japanese audience is just as I expected, showing respect for foreign fighters, clapping in a civilized manner, and excited about Kouzi, Takei, Noiiri and Takeru mainly. They all stayed until Takeru spoke his good bye speech. Anyway... Love K-1, love Japan. I would love to come back soon.Takeru vs Tenshin would bring world peace. I will miss the Cherry blossom season for like two days... But I had K Festa, so nothing else matters. Lero out.

Sounds awesome, glad you enjoyed it.
That Taro-kun keychain sounds like one of the best investments a person could EVER make.

Full event in chunks for everyone who missed something or just wants to rewatch: abema.tv/video/title/154-101While it does require some VPN magic, it's earlier than YouTube will have it.
