Little refresher of what almost happened a year ago. contracts schmontracts Thai army don't give a fuck. Dear Glory lawyer guy, we periodically take over an entire nation. Good luck with whatever you were thinking of doing about this. Please keep in touch. Warmest regards, The Army Then I guess Glory legal won in the end and Sitti didn't fight there.

Fast forward a year, Sitthichai now officially out of Glory and Thai army playing that long game. Bonus points for leroHow to run a successful fight promotion part 1 "your wish list fighters are unavailable? Literally draft them!" I wonder why they didn't have Kaew in this event.

Wouldn't be surprised if Glory got rid of Sitthichai now that he finally lost the title. Didn't the same thing more or less happen with Petro once he lost? They couldn't wait to let him fade into obscurity.
Being a dominant champion won't do you much good if you aren't a ratings canon or your team doesn't hold an especially favorable position within Glory.
Peter Aerts mentioned in a recent interview about how he feels that the favoritism is strong in Glory.
To be fair though, to a degree that rings true for any promotion/company anywhere.

As I understand it, they think they have him under contract and Sittichai's keen to take fights elsewhere, but they're trying to stop him

They used to just let them do it, too bad it changed.

They used to just let them do it, too bad it changed. They let him do that two months ago: www.facebook.com/macauconventioncentre/videos/2357156474544616/Fight starts at: 04:32:00 Last time they let him fight outside Glory before the Macau bout I think was at the WLF Yi Long Challenge 2017 when he almost took off the head of our favorite monk.

It feels like Glory caring now may just be for show.
So that when they let him go eventually they have something to fall back on.

Recent short interview with Roël Mannaart:
Some quick bullet points: - Was dealing with a wrist injury in early 2019 - Liked the somewhat bigger setup for the last K-1 show. Likes the Japanese fans - Was very respectful about Chris Bradford, more or less said he expected a tougher fight - Next fight will be in Glory, but also hopes to fight in K-1 this year

Saw some reports pop up (even in Dutch) about ONE's sketchy financial situation and future.
However, most of it seems to be based on a slight misinterpretation of KaraevFans Twitter translations.
