I wonder about that as well. It's gonna be difficult if not downright impossible to hold the event in the Netherlands with the updated covid measures over here. They'd either have to get some sort of exceptional license or hold it somewhere else. I'm not 100% on all the details, but I think Belgium, Germany and France have pretty similar measures at the moment that aren't going to change any time soon, at least not before the event is scheduled.
At the end of the day it doesn't really matter where it's held though, as long as the proper precautions are taken and we get the event. And all parties involved are paid what they're owed.

Who do you support? Personally, I'm not a Badr Hari fan. It would be nice for Adegbuyi to win, he has big victories in kickboxing and the Glory noobs - followers - don't even know him very well. Benny is a perfect professional for 10 years now and he also sacrifices his family by training in the Netherlands.
Will take place at Spike Studios in Amsterdam? I have already paid on Fite.

I don't like Badr as a person and am definitely rooting for Adegbuyi, but Badr is definitely the heavy favorite here. Benny doesn't take shots well and if Rico can KO him in the first round, so can Badr. Either way this is still a nice 'prestige' fight for Benny.
As far as the location goes I haven't checked in a few weeks, but it's probably going to be some TV studio.
If it's over at Spike you'd expect there to be a TV broadcast, but Glory has emphasized it will only be available via stream. It'll be interesting to see if Badr vs. Benny can carry a PPV. If Badr can't sell a PPV, I'm afraid no kickboxer can.

Murthel Groenhart withdraws from GLORY 76 title fight. It's official.

That really sucks for Murthel. Doumbe is going to fight a last minute replacement now.
Glory can't seem to catch a break with making fights happen, but for them I consider it karma.

There are rumours that Glory also approached a Romanian welterweight. At least if they would give him at least 3 fights in the promotion, considering he would take a short notice match. Whoever will be the replacement.
If they pick Gafencu or Lambagiu, they can still have a title match. Because on paper they have strong records. However, Gafencu had gone surely on vacation and Lambagiu's match did not take place at DFS 9.

I like Ghajji getting another chance, but he really hasn't done anything meaningful in a while and will probably lose badly. Also, just another example of a late replacement for a title fight .

Not sure about the full event, but at least Badr vs. Benny will be televised by SportExtra in Romania, which should have multiple live streams.

Sport Extra is a new and smaller sports channel, there might not even be streams on the internet, but the main problem is this PPV will only be available on their website.
I see that they all have an agreement with Glory (Spike, Sport Extra and other channels). In addition, they all charge the same price.
In my opinion, Glory turned to PPV out of incompetence. They were no longer able to sell their TV rights. They made a mistake that they organised so many events in the US, and in Europe only in Holland. Glory is no longer able to pay the press to advertise them as before. Superkombat paid for all contact sports publications throughout Europe and beyond. Not just America.
Also the Glory roster is not as amazing as it could be.

If they are somehow able to hold this event, I'd just do it like ONE, for free on youtube to get eyeballs. It's a money loser event anyway when you can't sell tickets and they have to pay Badr/Benny/Doumbe. Doubt a kickboxing iPPV is covering those event cost.
I can kind of understand not getting tv deals done in the middle of the year and with live events being tough to schedule as well with all the shifting restrictions. If they really had to do the Rico event without much/any tv next year too...that starts being kinda weird.
Now I guess it's all up in the air. If they can't hold this and there's a lockdown till Jan 19, even the Jan 30 Rico-JBS is pretty close to that date and wouldn't be too sure they can confidently believe that date will be ok either.
