Quick comments:
The quality of the stream was pretty bad as at times this felt more like a live play-by-play than a live steam. So in this case you really get what you (don't) pay for lol.
Part of me wishes I bought the PPV, but questionable matchmaking and a bad decision gave this event a foul stench. Between Rigters getting multiple opponent changes that ended up with him fighting the last minute Bhugwandass and Plazibat/Mahieddine going an extra round the tournament very much felt rigged in Rigter's favor.
The first round of Rigters/Bhugwandass wasn't even bad, but you could tell Rigters just had to pick his shots and Bhugwandass would quickly tire out and go down from fatigue. It happens when you're that size and badly prepared.
I really liked the action in the next fight, but as much as I like Plazibat he really didn't deserve that extra round against Mahieddine. The extra round could have gone either way, but I'm glad Mahieddine got the decision, because he should have gotten it after three. He started to cry before he was called the winner, I suspect because he knew what was going on. Keep in mind Mahieddine got robbed against Murat Aygun as well. Or maybe he felt an injury and knew he'd have a problem in the final?
It seems very obvious the Glory higher ups aimed for Rigters getting a guaranteed trip to the tournament final, preferably while remaining relatively fresh against a completely spent opponent.
Which is what ended up happening, because even though Rigters won the final with a clean technique and freshness levels play a big factor in every tournament, it's hard not to feel like Mahieddine got dealt a bad hand here.
But even with all the protection in the world Righters will ultimately have to prove himself against the big dogs. There's no way around that. And I think Rigters is good enough not to need to be overly protected. He isn't some kid making his pro debut and has defeated some good opponents already.
As far as Doumbe/Ghajji goes, I thought Ghajji did pretty well all things considered. He definitely tagged Doumbe a few times early on and came to earn his paycheck.
On to the main event of the evening: Badr vs. Benny.
Man, Badr didn't look good in this fight. He looked like he didn't have a lot of energy, was breathing heavily from the get go, got tagged left and right and fell down a lot. Still, he was able to weather Benny's storm and came back in the second round to hurt Adegbuyi when he scored a heavy knockdown. Benny showed heart and hung in there to survive the round. In Round 3 Benny came back with a big knockdown. Badr got up, went down again and let himself get counted out. Great victory for Benny who had to dig deep and a very bad look for Badr.
Is this it for him? Was Badr still affected by the results of COVID? Either way, not a good look.
As for Benny I couldn't be happier for him. He's a man of heart and hard work and tonight it all came together for him despite the odds being against him. I guess he's fighting the winner of Rico/Jamal III.
All in all I thought this event was okay, but it could have been a lot better.

Badr looked absolutely terrible in there. Slow and all. Also is body again looked out of shape. Should retire at this point. Benny looked good overall, but he was basically 5 second away from being KO'd in the second round if the round was not stopped. Too chinny to ever beat someone like jamal.

Benny punished your favourite like hell!!! Watch the fight again, replay button if you haven't... Badr was better prepared than with Rico! He has always only fought for 2 rounds, going after the KO.
Big humiliation for all the Moroccans and his fans, no more big mouth! Silence please.
The big league is Ghita, Verhoeven, Ben Saddik, Adegbuyi. Not Badr Hari, not Kryklia coward.
Tonight Adegbuyi made happy many Dutchmen. Badr goes down with his trash talk. The post fight conference will be from the hospital. Hari is gonna leave the hospital in 1-2 weeks, believe me.
The fight was great from the start. They made the PPV worth, all for the KO.

Congrat to Rigters, he should fight Khbabez next! Morocco has funeral for some days.
If Badr ever comes back, he should be careful with Khbabez or Catinas. Better run away, chicken, we have all expected you for the trash talk! We haven't said anything.
Benny warned him he's in the shape of his career and looked much faster tonight! His kicks are also great. Props to Adegbuyi!
Adegbuyi proves he's an elite fighter for the "n" time.
Close your mouth, Daniel Ghita! Mr Gentleman is on television.

Off topic:
Calm down a bit LOL. You seem to get way too personal with fighters and act like you are 12 at most. Severe/blind patriotism is related to low education and low intelligence . You made Romania and Romanian people look like deluded assholes and we get a lot of hate on every fighting forum because of you. It's almost like you want to make us look bad.
Benny is a really nice guy and the good guy won. He is clearly the 3rd best fighter in the division now , but he ain't beating Rico and Jamal. He definitely deserves another shot at the title though. This is the last time when I'm answering you, roy.
On topic:
Why did the judges gave Badr the first round? I mean the stream was pretty bad, but I thought Benny did enough to win that round. He did rocked badr once and badr looked like he had no gas tank and vitality. In my opinion that was enough for Benny to win that round.
Glory pulling all the strings possible for Rigter... This is not professional and looked more like superkombat than a legit world class promotion. Hari looking gassed 1 minute into the first round and having no vitality and yet having the audacity to talk all that trash before the fight... I doubt we are going to see him fight again. Also him quitting because of a broken nose is almost as lame as when he quit against samedov in the third fight.

kickboxer (Banned) Dude, WTF? I think most people here were rooting for Benny and I'm happy that he won, but no need to insult a whole nation of people over it and go on some bullshit rant. Don't get delusional. Badr obviously looked bad from the first second of the fight. No 'better prepared than for Rico' fantasy. He looked bad, plain and simple. This is not about finding excuses, this is about calling out what was plain to see. This takes nothing away from Benny's victory. And how is Ghita 'big league', but not Badr? Ghita's career accomplishments don't even come close to Badr's. And Kryklia is a coward, what? Are you 5 years old? I've warned you once already. Behave like a stable human being.

samurai1 Didn't look to me like Badr won that first round either. After two rounds I had him ahead of Benny 19-18 due to the knockdown. Judging was definitely off for this event. themagi Hey man, whatsup?

Almost 4 months later...
Winning or losing, Badr in fun as hell. His fights are always full of drama.
