You can only get on the map by fighting good opponents. I sorta thought of this too. Jauncey is a good fighter and I like him a lot, but he still lacks a win over a Petrosyan, Grigorian, Sitthichai, Superbon, even a Kiria...someone like that. Currently in Glory 70 kg there is no one like that around. He always seemed like a guy who would most definitely want a win like that too. Assuming Beztati becomes the champ, as good as he is he won't exactly be the most established champ either. If Jauncey beat him, same thing. Definitely looking like there will be a disconnect from established world class legitimacy in Glory 70 kg.

I remember Petrosyan was allegedly making as little as 11k per fight during a certain period of his prime, which I find shocking for arguably the GOAT of 70kg kickboxing. It's Showtime era yeah...

Will have to wait and see...but... This sounds like a bit of change in direction again if I'm reading this right. So we'll have a "Glory Fight Pass", Glory Fight Fight Fight or whatever they're calling it? Going from multiple services, and local fight sports websites feeding traffic (for a % of sales, I imagine) to their own site/app. I suppose they could still have some affiliate type thing for the websites, but think Glory might need to get a lot better at getting eyeballs by themselves to be successful here. Will really have to see what they're planning to do, but definitely seems like they're going deeper into the few big ppv cards a year model and possibly not back to the tv/streaming 12+events a year model like I've been hoping. If they'll have more of a streaming service of their own, theoretically they could do a lot of events too, but think they definitely rely on having those big Rico vs Badr, Badr vs X, Rico-JBS type fights and they still don't have that many of those headline fights even if they added Overeem and lets say Spong and Saki both.

Probably Oktagon/Italy times after Glory, before signing with ONE. It's Showtime was anyway also very focused on the heavyweights.

The event was surprisingly good for this level.
I recommend:
- Fight of the Night
- Performance of the Night
- Main Event
Roberto Sacco and Laurențiu Partenie also impressed, but their opponents were inexperienced. Also the 22-year old local Ilaria Pizzuti.

In Finnish we have a saying which sorta translates to "don't fill your stomach with sweets".
ONE clearly recognizes this and so they also live by it. Sign all the good fighters and then only let you see them once a year max.

Londt was one of SuperKombat's breakout fighters a decade ago when they were great.
I'm cool with Londt returning to Romania. Just hope he's not signing any exclusivity contracts.
