They had some attention broadcasting on Fox Sports Latinoamerica, then lost everything after the PPV only model.

Murmurings that Jamal Ben Saddik has left Hemmers gym for Team Tavares and will make his return at Glory 79.

www.ad.nl/vechtsport/groot-gebrek-aan-nieuwe-ricos-en-badrs-moet-meer-geinvesteerd-worden-aan-onderkant~ab37fd3e/Dutch article talking about Glory's current focus and what's next when guys like Rico and Badr retire. It has some quotes from Remy about how Glory should invest in young talent rather than aging legends like Overeem, Saki, Spong etc. He also says it's important for fighters to clearly align and sell themselves as a 'good or bad' and not something inbetween, to give fans someone to root for / against. He praises Levi Rigters as one of the fighters of the future. While I do agree with Remy about investing in the future, I don't see why Glory can't do both. In fact, they are doing both. The thing is, at least as far as heavyweights go, the new generation simply doesn't have the same charismatic appeal as the veterans. I've no doubt a new HW king will stand up eventually, but to sell fights you need characters as well. We see that in most other weightclasses, just not as much at HW. I guess we're losing some of them to MMA and boxing. Also Glory sucks at promotion. They do a good video here and there, but overall I find them very bad at selling fights. Perhaps I'm looking too much through a J-kick lense, but I have yet to see a Western promotion do a VTR that comes close to getting me as excited for a fight. Sure, the fights should sell themselves and to hardcore fans they usually do, but casual viewers need something more as they don't have our level of investment. Besides, good promo material is enjoyable for everybody. Interesting sidenote; fightsports are starting to receive more coverage by general news outlets over here.

It's quite boring. A lot of people giving uncomfortable speeches in English. Not that I'm very interested in this, but it does drive home the point further that Glory sucks at promotion. It may get better as it progresses, but this isn't a strong start.
They should have gotten Eldar Gross who did the Reem and Spong documentaries. He even did some work for Glory in the past. Oh well.

Interesting overview by Yodsanan that made it to vechtsportinfo: To no real surprise, the five biggest main kickboxing promotions are: - Glory - K-1 - WLF - Rise - One While this list is missing a bunch of names, I do think it paints a pretty accurate picture of where you see the most talent. It's a shame One is a part of this list, since their kickfighters barely see any action and it's a sinking ship anyway, but it is what it is. The real surprise to me is the Romanian circuit not being at the top. They clearly have the most awesome talents!

http://instagram.com/p/CSmpB12INfG This short vid is better than Badr's whole first episode lol. Jokes aside though good to see that Wrzosek is getting about as good a preparation as he can. Hope he'll have a good performance at least.

Yeah, ONE has so many event but not many have KBers. I think because KB is so international while their MMA and MT pools are mostly Asian so they dont have to pay for as many plane tickets.

So I'm going to say this, fully realizing you'll ignore it: please don't try signing up here anymore in the future. Aaand he just tried registering again lol.

Is there not some Romanian language forum he can use? He might even find some people there who agree with him.

He probably already does, but I suspect this is about 'getting the RealTruth™ out to the World'. BTW he tried a second time just hours after my first refusal

One kickfight(s) happening this Friday: Sitthichai vs. Tawanchai
I believe Tawanchai replaces Özcan, which still sucks that he's out.
