Mentioned it in the Glory 77 thread a few days ago, but yeah that's what Rico implied. Good to have an official document that confirms it, though. I think the only reaction from JBS - at the time - was that his test results could be traced back to the prescription drugs he was on for his serious medical issues. Who knows. It's entirely possible JBS was/is on the PEDs, but Rico's accusations during the presser were far from classy and didn't really add anything. Rico isn't exactly a looking natural himself and like I said years ago I suspect 95% of the top fighters to be on something. Not saying I condone it, but as long as all involved parties are aware of the risks and okay with it I honestly can't really say I care much either. Glory had to react first, then let JBS to defend himself. But they did not. In my opinion, it is possible that the promotion covered up the case.
Rico was silent whilst Cor Hemmers was a matchmaker. Now he's starting to talk. After 5 years and a half.

No way, it would totally discredit Adegbuyi. You mean, like, rematch so fast? It's like Glory doesn't consider Benny worth. Badr is sneaky, he wants to beat him to become a challenger, instead of starting from the bottom. Let someone else retire Hari, not Adegbuyi. Adegbuyi must fight Verhoeven in about 5 months from now.

Adegbuyi shouldn't fight Rico before JBS does and I hope Glory doesn't pull a ridiculous stunt like that. As for Adegbuyi rematching Badr. There's a lot to lose for both, but I'd say there is more to lose for Badr here; imagine him losing a second time. That would pretty much definitively mean the end for him, even though I still believe Badr beats Benny 9 times out of 10. Adegbuyi is probably next in line for a title shot after JBS, so after Benny fights whoever holds the belt at that point he could consider a rematch with Badr. I'm not sure who Badr's next opponent should be. You'd want someone who's beatable, but not a complete pushover.

KSW 58 happening this Saturday, featuring Guto Inocente in what looks like an MMA bout.
Not at all a fan of Inocente, but it's a little disheartening seeing so many kickboxers flock to MMA.

Fine to do the Rico-Benny fight and maybe try and capitalize on him having beat Badr and keep the events rolling on if JBS is away for months. Really interesting to see how things will go post Glory 77 though. Hoping they get back to TV/fight pass. If the PPVs work, they could keep doing those as well, but think they need to do actual prelims/superfight series or something for TV/fight pass. They certainly can't keep doing champion stacked events like G77 for every card with just the few fights they've been doing now. Also need to have some way to get in front of new eyeballs and casuals in general.

Yeah looking at his record he's had 4 fights since his last Glory showing, two of them within the same week in November 2019 lol. No mention of any upcoming fights in ONE either.

JBS might be injured for long time. And Adegbuyi showed he has better defence, strength and power. Of course in terms of defence he was never good enough and will have to prove it, but Benny is superior big to Badr in terms of strength and power. Arguments? Hari proves that he is fragile, plus Adegbuyi's fist that broke the nose of the Moroccan in round 3. Throughout the 3rd round Badr just received a whole beating. The first round was wrongly scored imo, in the second round Benny made a mistake.
Certainly Badr is still in the elite, but Adegbuyi raped the man who exposed Rico. I think, logically, Benny beats Badr at least 6 times out of 10.

None of your arguments make sense. Ever. To anyone.
But you're welcome to believe whatever fairytale you want.
Badr beats Benny 9 times out of 10 in my book.

But you're welcome to believe whatever fairytale you want.Badr beats Benny 9 times out of 10 in my book.Benny is trash because he's Romanian, and Badr is good because he's Dutch. Still, Ghita and Adegbuyi took some scalps (Gerges, Zimmerman and Wilnis multiple times, Badr Hari, Ben Saddik, Londt, Rozenstruik etc). I think they did enough damage and some people will never admit Rico Verhoeven lost to Daniel Ghita. I'll laugh out loud if Benny goes after Rico and takes it!
"Heerenveen", "walk in the park", "I will knock that guy out", "not in my league", "amateur"...
The Dutch will not admit that in the last 10 years, according to them, Romania had the best heavyweights. And on top of that, these were also competitive. From Ghita, Iftimoaie, Zmarandescu and Ciobanu, to Adegbuyi, Catinas, Morosanu, Stoica brothers, Cozmanca etc

Nobody is turning this into Romania vs. The World except you. You constantly act like we all root against Romanian fighters for some reason.
Speaking for myself here, but I really don't give a shit where any fighter is from and stated multiple times I actually really like Benny (and other Romanian fighters).
I was rooting for Benny against Badr and am happy for him that he won, but I don't let that cloud my judgment; Benny's accomplishments pale in comparison to Badr's. It's not even close. Badr was fighting and defeating K-1 legends when he was still a kid. Even if Benny beats Rico somehow that still means absolutely nothing compared to Badr knocking out Semmy Schilt back in 2009.
Why are you on a mission to prove Romanian fighters are the best in the world? Shouldn't a fighter's accomplishments speak for themselves? When fighters need internet fanboy support to 'prove' they're legends... they're probably not legends. The reality is that not a single Romanian fighter became champion in K-1 or Glory. Ever. The next best thing would be defeating some legends while they're still, you know, good.
Benny defeating Badr is great, but he defeated an out-of-shape, injury prone Badr who fights less than once a year. And visibly just barely recovered from a serious COVID ilness. And hasn't won a fight since 2015.
Defeating Badr in 2020 clearly does not hold the same value it did 10 years ago. His body, fight rhythm and heart just aren't really there, not right now at least. Maybe this loss will fire him back up, but who knows?
And just for the record; Badr still gave Benny a ton of trouble. Purely based on experience. You say Benny 'raped the man who exposed Rico', but I wouldn't call it a rape when both fighters were knocked down during the fight. Exaggeration seems to be a recurring theme with you.
As for Ghita vs. Rico. Saying something a million times doesn't make it true. Fact is that Ghita vs. Rico was close. Both times. But IMO Rico did enough to secure the decision and the vast majority of fans seem to feel that way. For most people it has nothing to do with 'Romanian vs. Dutch fighters', that's just a loud, very insecure minority like yourself. If Romanian superiority is all you care about you're not a fight fan, just another patriot.
Besides, both Benny and Ghita achieved their biggest victories while training in the Netherlands, so you can still make an argument for the Dutch way of training playing the biggest role in their success.
But nothing anyone says will get through to you, so whatever..
