Seriously though, Badr should seriously consider hanging up the gloves. Obviously his bank account won't allow him to, but it's going from bad to worse for him.
Badr has not won a fight since 2015. 2018 if you count the Hesdy fight. And he's never had more than two losses in a row.
You could make an argument that he was winning all of his latest fights until he got injured or hit with the hail mary shot, but there's only so many fights you can 'almost win'.
What I see as a likely scenario here is that if Overeem ends up losing to Rico they will do Badr vs. Overeem 3.

If I was in hari's position and I would want to continue fighitng I would ask to rematch Wrzosek even for free on the Rico vs Overeem card to wash this stink.

BTW one crucial thing I forgot to mention is the send-off Glory gave Pereira when they played his career highlights after the fight. It clearly made him emotional and it was a great gesture.
For all the shit I tend to give Glory, that was classy.

Gotta love how the Badr army continues to be absolute trash on social media. Noticed that Wrzosek took his Instagram offline and can't help but feel they had something to do with it.
Either way it comforts me that deep inside Badr's fanboys know what's up and no amount of denial will change that.
Badr and his army are eating the biggest Karma sandwich right now.

We need Hamicha vs Doumbé next and Menshikov vs Sher Mamazulunov or vs Florin Lambagiu for the next title fight. Would be nice if Glory snatches Regian Eersel from ONE as well. They have to give Doumbé the best the world has to offer before he goes to ***.
Glory should also pick Zhora Akopyan before ONE calls him, he may be the only guy who is not fighting in ONE who can give Beztati a run for his money.
Also, when Vakhitov fights Tavares next, they should do Maslobojev vs whoever is available.
Where in the world is Michael Smolik? they should bring him back ASAP. he would be amazing fighting at LHW.
And last, just kill the 65kg division and let Petch go to ONE or to RISE.

If Hamicha is indeed next in line for a title shot against Doumbé I agree that Menshikov should probably be in a title eliminator, though I don't think Mamazulunov and Lambagiu have done anything to deserve to be in that position. I don't think I've seen Mamazulunov fight, but looking at his record he's mostly fought on the local circuit. No notable international names on his record. As for Lambagiu I just don't think he's very good. He's a mediocre looking fighter with victories against pretty much just local circuit guys. Beat someone decent first.
I think Jamie Bates, Harut Grigorian or Alim Nabiyev should be considered to fight Menshikov. If they want to get a name that will really get people talking they should consider Kyshenko, but I'm not sure he's interested in fighting for Glory as he's been very critical of them in the past. But then again, money talks.
Isn't Jauncey supposed to be next in line for a title shot against Beztati? That could go either way.
I think Maslobojev could maybe fight Abena.
As for Smolik. After that horrendous 'fight' he had with Abdallah I don't think Glory is eager to use either one of them again. Smolik seems content fighting low tier opponents in the local circuit. I suspect he'd lose badly to anyone in the top 10 and wants to protect his 'legacy'.
And yeah, Glory should just let Asia handle the lower weightclasses rather than tie up fighters in a division they have no real plans for.

http://instagram.com/p/CTc6m6ormK- There is quite a bit of Dutch media attention for this. Even heard it being discussed on the radio this morning. If it wasn't for Max Verstappen getting so much attention due to his F1 victory, I think there would even more attention for Glory 78.

Wrzosek is 29, huge, and ripped. All he needs is an elite team and he can absolutely be a star. You dont have to be Petrosyan skill level to be an elite HW.

And yet another injury for Badr:
LOL, this is getting weird. Karma might actually be real. If I was Hari I would be afraid to get out of bed

Not sure if he tore his bicep or not, but I honestly didn't expect him to fight at Glory 79 to begin with.
If he's injured and needs 3-4 months he might be in action at Glory 80 which is rumoured for January.
Hell, Glory will move the event if they have to.
And yeah, it's hard not to think of this as some form of karma.

While this victory may not have made Wrzosek a star, there's no denying it put him on the map and on people's radars. Now it's up to Glory to market him right and make some smart matchups, which both of these I don't really trust Glory with lol.

I think he has what it takes, but yeah, Menshikov vs Nabiev makes more sense. I think is in the best interest of Glory to develop french and german stars, so if not Smolik, just try to do what it takes for bringing german eyes to the org.

Glory should definitely try to expand beyond the Netherlands / Badr fans.
For starters, they could try to patch things up with Ilunga and try to make a rematch with McSweeney happen as one of the main attractions of a card in Germany.
Get Kemayo and Hameur-Lain back and put them on a French card leading up to a Doumbé title defense.
A lot of these things seem like no-brainers to me. In fact they did similar things with their Nice and Lyon cards and those were all pretty good.
I still don't believe the PPV thing will catch on in Europe no matter who they put on their cards, but I guess we'd need to find how G78 did first.
